Your telling me that on Sportsbook.com the line opened at -3 and 90% are on USF but the line moved to -2.5. Books are hoping to make an absolute killing on this game. USF is very good team, but they have a few things going against them in this game. For whatever reason, Rutgers matches up well and can run ball v. USF. Sort of like USF matches up well against WVU, Rutgers matches up well against USF. Rice will run the ball on USF. Other major problem is that USF will likely lose the TO battle based on what I have seen of them this year, they can be extremely sloppy with the ball. Based on the fishy line, matchup success, and TO problems for USF, I will be on Rutgers.

I just checked it out and I am seeing the exact same thing. This line looks extremely fishy. SF is #2 in the nation and not only are they only a 3 pt favorite, but with almost public on SF, why is the line moving in that direction.

My numbers say that 77% on SF and line moved to -2.

I have to think Rutgers wins this game. No way would I take SF in this one.

I generally dont pay attention to "who the money is on" because frankly what reliable basis is ther for believing the information is accurate?

That said, I do like Rutgers in this game.

USF needed +5 turnovers to beat Auburn when Auburn was struggling earlier in the year and their only other road game besides that they struggled @ FAU and now they are playing for the first time ever w/ a target on their back...

USF is now the goliath, new territory for those kids on a national stage on the road nonetheless

I mean, c'mon now, USF beat Auburn and WV and Rutgers lost @ home already to Cincy and Maryland and USF is only favored by a FG...???

Scarlet Knights it is

Local media in Tampa

Local media in Tampa

Since the latest AP poll came out all the local media is talking about is how one slip up by OSU and USF is number 1, they also keep talking about potential national championship game, etc. Also, Rutgers is consistently being called and "inferior" team in the papers and on the radio. People acknowledge that it is a road test, but everyone seems to think that USF should win this one as long as they don't completely screw up. Also, USF player was quoted in the paper as saying Ray Rice is nothing without that great offensive line. Ray Rice will be making a big statement tomorrow night.

Ray Rice

Ray Rice

Running vs. the Bulls

Ray Rice has done something few running backs have done since the start of the 2005 season - run for 100 yards vs. the USF defense.

USF has not allowed a 100-yard rusher in 14 consecutive games - and just six players have rushed for 100 yards in a game vs. USF since 2005.

Rice is the last player to run for 100 yards vs. the Bulls with his 202-yard performance in last season?s 22-20 victory. Rice is averaging 180 yards in two career meetings vs. USF. He is the only player since 2005 to have two, 100-yard games vs. USF.

Rice vs. USF
Date Att. Yds TD Lg Avg.
11/5/05 26 158 0 15 6.1
9/29/06 35 202 2 44 5.8

USF gets upset at Rutgers on Thursday night then WVU smacks Rutgers in the mouth the following week.

Cash it.

I'm also seeing some -2's out there. About enough to make me jump on Rutgers myself.

Was at the Rutgers - Louisville game last year in NJ........almost the same setup, thurs nite game...last year both teams were undefeated, i believe Lville was top 5 at the time....Rutgers was getting beat up in the first half, but came out running with Rice in the 2nd half and their D stepped up......

Teel has improved since last year, so So. Fla will have to respect the passing game with Kenny Britt and Tiquan Underwood having the speed to get deep....this should open it up for Rice (who was surprisingly fast as hell in person)...if they load the box, then Teel can do some damage....

like last year, I'll be on the Rutgers ML
