tennessee tech -5: just a few short years ago, the utc moccasins (another one of my favorite nicknames) were one of the perennial powers in the southern conference. but that was then and this is now, and this year first year coach lamont paris is in serious rebuilding mode, fielding the youngest team in div i, with no seniors, only 5 returning lettermen and #325 in experience by the kenpom ratings. today they face tennessee tech, one of their oldest rivals, in cookeville where the golden eagles are 27-5 s/u against utc teams that overshadowed the current edition of the mocs. to make matters worse, this year's golden eagles are the #3 experienced team, returning 77% of minutes played last year and picked to finish in the top half of this years's very competitive ovc. hard to see the mocs keeping this game competitive.
