UTSA -10.5 over UTEP *****
Gameday was rumored to be doing this game but FAU beat UTEP on Saturday and that changed everything. UTSA is now ranked 14th,17th and 18th in several polls . UTEP is 6-1 and UTSA 8-0. UTEP is having its best season ever and of course UTSA who just started D-1 football a few years back is undefeated Of course they haven't played anybody but did beat illinois,Mid tenn,Memphis, UNLV,WKU,Rice and just out classed La Tech 2 weeks ago before their bye this week 45-13. UTEP lost to boise St and now FAU. But they also had a weak schedule beating Bethane Cookman,New Mex ,New Mex St,ODU,So Miss and La Tech 19-13. In that game UTEP survived 3 lost fumbles and one interceptions.
UTSA coach Traylor has been mentioned to take over at Tex Tech and a few more D-1 programs. But the other day their AD and team had a big meeting where they announced Traylor will stay at UTSA with a 10 year contract. It was televised and the players in the lockeroom went crazy. Traylor talked about why he decided to stay with the Raodrunners. He was a high school coach and won 3 state championships at Elmer Texas. UTSA believed in him and gave hime the job. Loyalty was one of the main reasons he was staying . " I have everything I want money wise" On his staff his has 7 Texas HS coaches and not only can they coach but can recruit . He has Harris one of the best qb's and 3 wr's that are playmakers and gamebreakers. Then he has Sincere McCormick the best running back in the country. His defense is outstanding despite giving up a lot of yards to La Tech 2 weeks ago.
Roadrunners of course have no shot at the final 4 but think they will be undefeated this year. Although UTEP has had a great season on Saturday the miners will be digging from behind the entire game. UTSA wins by 3 or more touchdowns ..
