The battle to prove who is the better Tech takes place this Thursday night. Ga Tech will probably be without Choice at RB and their offense hasn't been anything to brag about when he's played. Va. Tech's offense is terrible as well. Both teams play excellent defense & have given up just 15 PPG. The Under is worth a look although the weather should be near perfect conditions for early November. A total of 40.5 isn't impossible with 2 solid defensive clubs when the clock stops every time someone breaths & this is the case with college football. Still would play the Under 40.5 or nothing in this game. I would probably buy the half point to get 41 as well.

Here are some common thoughts among gamblers:

1) Va Tech should have beat BC... they're good and ranked. Ga Tech is terrible and not ranked.

2) Va Tech has never lost on Thursday night football except to BC. They aren't playing BC.

3) Va Tech will excel in special teams & turnovers.

Well, Ga Tech has a LOT of extra prep time as their last game was October 20th and this isn't a good Va Tech team IMO. Actually, I think they're fairly weak as their 2-5 ATS record can attest. They barely beat UNC @ home, snuck by East Carolina, and had a tough game with Ohio. The one impressive win and cover was attributed to Clemson not being ready and allowing Va Tech to score every which way possible except offensively for the most part.

I also expect Va Tech to still be devastated by last week's loss. They were up 10-0 with under 2:30 minutes left and lost. These kind of losses tend to have a huge lingering affect and should hurt the offensively deprived Hokies this week.

Ga Tech -2.5 for 10*
Ga Tech 1st half -.5 for 5*

Ga Tech 24 Va Tech 10

lots of people want to jump on Va Tech while they are down but lets just look at G Tech while they are up.....such as conference home favorite off an ATS win......0/8........meanwhile I see that Va Tech is still 6/0 as a conference dog last winning on 10/6 of this year at Clemson +5.5... 41 to 23.........Va Tech is the road warrior of the ACC going 9/2 ATS on the conference road the last 2 years.....if both teams play their average game Ga Tech wins it by 1

I've seen them both....

I've seen them both....

As a Clemson guy I witnessed the losses to these teams. I think Va Tech is much better. Both teams sport very good defenses which would lead me to play the under.

Clemson had everything go wrong at Ga Tech (9 dropped passes, penalties that called back TD's and 4 out of 5 missed FG's). The loss to Va Tech at home was all special teams. Offense vs Defense we won, but gave up an INT for a TD, a punt return for a TD and a kickoff return for a TD.

I realize the loss to BC may haunt Va Tech and Ga Tech has had some prep time; however, I believe Choice is out for the game (don't know for sure) and this will limit Ga Tech's offense so I don't see Va Tech losing. This is an important ACC division game for both.

Anyway, I will be playing the under and Va Tech tonight. GL to all.

Ive watched alot of these two teams and strongly feel that Va tech is the better team.

Other Thoughts:

Even though VaTech has been generally sorry on offense, I think they will put somes scores on a defense that will be spending ALOT of time on the field.

Most people around country dont realize how valuable a player RB Choice is as backups are just okay and receivers are nothing special and drop alot of passes.

And of course the overall VTECH special teams advantage certainly doesnt hurt the cause.

The Home field for Gtech on a Thursday nite is no big deal. Many good seats will be available below face value from people outside stadium.

Just glad there is a game on!!!!

Finalized Thursday Night Plays:

Georgia Tech -2.5 for 12.5*
Georgia Tech 1st half -.5 for 6*
Under 41 (-120) for 5*

Once again, Yellow Jackets 24-10... they go into half with a 17-3 lead and win 24-10. However, I'll be thrilled with a sweep.

Well sorry to everyone that followed me. I'm far more pissed at myself and my play than anyone else. WTF was I thinking backing this sorry Georgia Tech squad. Once again, apologize to anyone who followed my losing play. Going to take a break until Saturday and hopefully come back with some winners.
