Headed to Vegas and unfortunately for the wrong reason. My first cousin died yesterday at the age of 38. We still don't know how and may not for a while. Funeral is Friday. Fly in Thurs night, pick up my dad and grandma later that night as they fly in from Georgia, and then next day funeral and etc. Staying at the Courtyard in Summerland. Been wanting to go down lately but this sucks.

i'm back - the funeral sucked. Played at the local casinos. We stayed in Summerland and I played at Suncoast. Doubled my money there. Craps will continue to be the money maker for me. It's amazing that I see people everywhere playing blackjack when the money is to be made on the craps table. Then you hear people say I don't play craps because I don't understand it. Read a book - it'll be the best investment you ever make.

Good to hear something positive came out of the trip:SIB

Baccarat and Craps.....best odds of any table games, yet most don't play because they don't understand it.

I like it alot. Don't have to worry about $10 craps tables. They always have two open, one 5 and one 3. On Friday night they had all 4 open, 1 $3 table and 3 $5 tables. Plenty of other table games. Waitresses wear good outfits and they are good looking for a local casino off the strip. The sportsbook is fantastic for a local casino. Big sitting area by the bar and all the lines you ever wanted. Good restaurants. Just overall a good place to be. It looks like they have been prospering too because they have gone big corporation - BConnected players cards instead of their own. They are affiliated with Sams Town, Orleans, Main Street etc. I've been going there for over 7 years since my buddy used to live in Summerland and I am extremely biased. But they have been consistent throughout the years.

On another note, I went downtown Sat morning and wanted to roll the dice at the Golden Nugget. The second best roll in my craps history was there and wanted to play. At 1030 in the morning they had 4 tables open. Every one of them were $10 tables. It's downtown for pete's sake. Who do they thing they are, Bellagio?

Don't know if you wanted all that Hawkeye but I like it there.

If you read their website, it states:

The Golden Nugget: Downtown's Bellagio.
