I posted this also in the Vegas Section....But I thought that if I posted it also in the General Section I will get more suggestions since I don't know how many people actually go to the Vegas Forum....

I am going to be in Vegas to attend a wedding for Superbowl weekend....

I just received an e-mail asking me what to do on Thursday & Friday Nights for people who will be in Vegas earlier than the Saturday Night Wedding....

I have no idea how many people will be there....I will guess between 20-30....

The wedding corrdinator came up with a plan to go club hopping & figured that it would cost an average of $125 per person....That idea was shot down since there are some who are experiencing tough times because of this economy....

Does anybody have any ideas of what we can do....Any suggestions will be appreciated....

Thanks....

Are you going to make it to the MJ Super Bowl party?

Also, if anyone is in Vegas and can't spend any more than $125 - those people aren't going to have much fun. Unless they like tunnels.

Unfortuantely I don't think that I will make the MJ SuperBowl party because I will be attending a SB party at The Westin Hotel, where many of the wedding people will be staying. Believe me when I tell you that I would rather watch the game with you guys than part-time football fans. But some people, including my wife will be very angry with me if I skip out watching the game with them, since many are close friends of ours....I have been in contact with Jack & hopefully I will be able to hook up before Sunday to have a few with you guys....

Of course I agree with you about not being able to spend $125, but some people are more cautious about spending money during this economic downturn than others....

Meanwhile do you have any suggestions ?

Not really - I mean - entertainment costs a premium there - however, if you have people in the wedding party that haven't been to Vegas - just take them from hotel to hotel...that is STILL entertainment to me and I have been many times....... and it is free!!!!

Venetian
Aria
Freemont St. at night
Ceasars

etc.........

You could do the wax museum at the Venetian, but that's minimal fun there......unless you're sixfive.

Definitely need to walk through the new Cosmopolitan. Has probably moved into the top spot for strip hotels. Didn't like Aria so much.

I thought that Aria was a little too contemporary and industrial. I am staying there next week as I am told by several people they have the best rooms on the strip with incredible views. We will see.

Yeah I agree about the Aria....There is no personality to it, it reminds me of a type of warehouse....& the buffet is nothing great....

Rooms at Aria approx $155/night are very nice .................. stayed there last year when they opened. The $700/night suites are a little over priced but still very nice. I have pics at home but wont be back for an other few weeks

Aria Buffet.....

Aria Buffet.....

Last year when Aria opened i wd have classified it as in the running for top Buffet in Vegas.............
All u can eat lobster.....nice 6 to 10 oz. Bigger than the ones u get on bargain Surf N' Turfs
This year u only get 1/2 a lobster

Kobe Beef.a Vegas 1st
Bison and Venison steaks...Vegas first

Did not see those items last week. In my opinion all the Vegas Buffets have gone down hill in quality and up in price. Planet H and Paris which used to be my Favs are now part of Harrahs and the 39.99 24 hr deal has turned them into garbage.
Cosmo Aria Bellagio are my current Favs but all in $45 range which is what u will pay if u want top shelf.

Best Pastarmi in Vegas Greenbergs in NY NY

Cheapest buffet..Silverton 5 Bucks all day if ur over 50 on Mondays only.

I think the buffet at the Wynn is by far the best buffet in Vegas....
