The wife and I are headed to Vegas in early December. I have a quick question on hotels. The wife is not a huge gaming fan and would like to stay somewhere in the middle of the strip near the action, shops, shows, etc...So I have sorta narrowed it down to the Flamingo, Bally's ($50 higher total than the flamingo), or Paris ($100 higher total than Flamingo). To me this seems like a no-brainer...the Paris seems like a huge step up for $100. Am I missing something? Does anybody have any experience with these places?
Thanks in advance for your help

Have stayed at all 3 and would stay at all 3 again. I stayed at Paris in April, this being my 2nd time there. Really enjoy it there. Good restaurants and the casino is not the kind that overwhelms you. It is connected to Bally's so you can split your time between the two. Flamingo has a great pool but in December that won't matter. My vote would go to Paris.

I agree with Davoso. If it's only $100.00 more, may I assume you're only staying 2-3 nights? If that's so, do yourself a favor and stay at the Paris. Good location and very attractive inside and out.

Have a blast.

I'm lucky enough to be staying at the Bellagio next month. Incentive trip the wife won. Can't wait.

I LOVE VEGAS!!! :D

Have stayed at Bally's and Paris, Usually stay at Bally's because they comp me and the wife better. Paris has a few more frills if that's what your looking for. Have fun. I'm heading out there next tuesday.

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
at Paris ask for room with strip view. Higher up the better.

Better still, ask for free upgrade to a "P" room when you arrive. These are the nicer ones on the corners. Ask for one with a strip/Bellagio Fountain view. Wife will love that. The $20 trick usually works at Paris ($50 if staying a bunch of days)---put the bill under the credit card but still visible and be suave about it. Be sure to ask for "free" upgrade so they don't think you are gonna pay for it.

this will be no problem if you arrive in December after the conventions and rodeo are over. Buyers market then.

Paris charges over a buck to make 800 calls from the room, and almost five for those bottles of water in the bathroom.

Have a great time!
