Just got back from a 3 day business trip, stayed at Palazzo which the suite was incredible...especially for the price. I recommend it for a couple-type of trip, or if you have a few guys who want to split the cost of a room. Very roomy.

Gambling there however is another story. I'm not sure what it was but could not win a hand in any table games there....and the 5 or 6 I gamble with were the same. They have a scanning type of system on some of their card games....I know it's "illegal" to use that to alter the deals but it just feels different. I don't like the house knowing what I have without me showing it. Maybe other places do this, but it was the first I have seen it.

Went downtown and had a blast. Gambled mostly at Binions where they have 6 tables right as you walk in so you can see people walking around outside...and the dealers all were wearing sexy referee outfits. All of them had great attitudes, and they were nice to look at as well. Great time, lower limits that allow you to live through bad streaks, but it helped to hit a few hands early:0008 . Only complaint other than it's not the place to go for food, is the cocktail waitresses average age are about 68, and although nice, are slow with cocktails. They must be taking knitting breaks  or that is how it works there. There is another place down the street (Golden Gate maybe) that had go-go girls right in the middle of the table games....behind the dealers. What a concept....although I felt I was in an Austin Powers movie. :toast:

But I haven't been downtown for several years and I will definitely include that in any future Vegas trip....thought I would share:0corn

Unicorn Stayed at quite a few places on strip but when I can talk my wife into staying downtown it's a lot of fun. Usually stay at the Nugget . Like going down to the El Cortez sports book & talk to the local guys, there are some real characters there. Most of all downtown low limits. Thanks !
