The First State
Have visited Vegas for the the opening rounds of March Madness for the last 7 years. Always stayed at Treasure Island primarily because we are familiar with the surroundings and have "Reserved Seats" for the last 6 years.Reserved seating is important due to the fact that my friends and I are in the book for around 16 hours a day Thurs thru Sun. Between the 3 of us not very large numbers wagered, about 5 to 7 dimes of baskets action and a few hundred on the ponies. This past year we were very unhappy with TI. Seems that location is under new management and all familiar faces left the premises. There were 2 servers for the whole sportsbook, which was never the case before and it took nearly a half hour to get a drink. Also the addition of " Drink Tickets" that had to be received after every wager and OKayed by SB Manager.Seemed like a bunch of nickle and dime bullshit quite frankly and 3 tickets for 500 in action seemed alittle tight. Standard proceedure had been that when you got seated for your day of action you called the girl who was to be your server for the day and told her to keep em coming and handed her $40 for her trouble. When her shift ended we aske her to introduce her relief before she left and we repeated the process. The reason we travel from NJ to Vegas every year is because it had been our experience that you were treated better there. If we wanted to be treated like shit we would stay in NJ and go to Atlantic City. I will say that the new SB Manager was a nice guy but repeatedly told us that "this is a new owner and new policy and that it was out of his hands". Besides gettn banged for a &22 per day hotel tax ? and even though were only there 5 nites just seems to me that it was a bit extreme. So if anyone of you guys have suggestions with regard to a change in venues that can give us what weve been accustomed to , I would appreciate your imput. The only prerequisites are to stay at resort that has a sportsbook, free flow of distilled beverages and reserved seating foe 3/4 guys. Thanks in advance

hilton u get drinks every 15 mins or so,they might ask to see ur betting ticket

Wow they still pull that crap.
About 10 years ago I was there and had a $300 play on a game that got me a drink but 30 minutes later she told me I had to go play another wager or pay for the drink.

My buddy was betting $10 parlays and kept getting drink after drink free and it was pissing me off.
I was locked in on my one game at the time so I didn't bet and he ordered a drink and gave it to me. She saw that and she went ape shit on him wanting $7 for the drink. He laughed and told her to bring her manager over because we had some choice words about her.
She never did and she never came back to us.

Have never and will never return to that place.
