You will have a great time at Southpoint. Very large sportsbook, racebook is in a separate area.

Deli has great desserts. Upstairs tequila bar has $1 shots for any brand including Patron during evening.

Mexican restaurant is pretty good...upstairs steak house very good. They have a Steak and Shake if you have never been there before...also have a large movie house on site.

Slots offer good value. Rooms are very nice...try to get a view of the strip. We usually call and ask for the host on the way out and they are very liberal with comping room and food.

One other item is the spa is excellent.

The Southpoint will pick you up at the airport if you pre-arrange it. You might also try to get up to the M as it is worth the trip for a little variety. They are a Cantor sportsbook...which I don't like. They also recently tightened up the slots so it is not the value it used to be.

Have a great trip.

I am at the South Point every day/night to bet on sports and/or hang out. Great sports book. Lots of tv's, great bar area with a ton of seats, drink tickets are easy to get. the only thing wrong with the bookis they can't have action on the Kings as the Maloofs have some stake in the book. Not too big a deal. I would definitely try to get to the M. Very nice place. Best buffet in Vegas, hands down. Terrible book though. Unless you are a 5 figure bettor, they dont give a shit about you. If you have any more questions about SP or M let me know

Stevie...one of the big disappointments of the year is Cantor is now taking over the book at the Palms. They are pretty much squeezing me out of Vegas.

You are exactly right re: how they treat bettors.

I like the book at SP...friendly, helpful and well-staffed but, I like to sit there all day and bet on sports plus the horses and those two books are separated there.

I do have to say the quality of the M buffet has fallen dramatically since opening plus the price has gone up.

Just got back--SP was great--the sportsbook was fanastic. Did not start off good-but hit big bets on Cinn un in cbb and Broncos and then over 2nd half Broncos game-came home with over $700. Rooms very nice-everone was helpful and many free drink tixs. Would go again and nice place if you don't want to be on the strip. Many fans at the sportbooks for both days of playoff games.
