VIKINGS/CHARGERS Over 44 - The Vikings figure to be in a sour mood after losing at home the last 2 weeks to the Giants and Packers after beginning the season 6-0. Offense has not been a problem, as the deficiencies in the Minnesota defense have become apparent in the 2 losses, in which they surrendered 29 and 30 points respectively. I expect this pattern to continue this week. Minnesota is averaging an impressive 30.7 points per game on the road this year, sparkling in every phase of the game offensively. They are averaging 149.0 RUSHING yards per game on the road, which has made Randy Moss that much more dangerous, as defenses have had to respect the run. Given that the San Diego defense is allowing a generous 4.8 yards per rush this season, I expect more of the same here. However, at the same time, I expect the Chargers to have one of their better offensive performances of the season vs. a crumbling Minnesota defense. San Diego still has one of the best running backs in the league in Tomlinson, and he is running against a Vikings defense that is allowing an unacceptable 5.4 yards per rush over the last 3 weeks. A successful running game would also make things easier for Drew Brees, who has passed for a respectable 1,450 yards while completing 57.5% of his passes. In the end, I am looking for this game to turn into a shootout, as I do not think that San Diego can slow down this Minnesota attack, and that Chargers coach Marty Shottenheimer will figure out a way to match the Vikings point for point.

Actually, Flutie starting is even better for the Over, as the reeling Minnesota defense will have an extra dimension to worry about - Flutie's running ability.

Good luck to all.

Nice call, almost had it covered at the half:D . I did not have a lot of time to look the 4 o'clock games over and breezed through a few threads at MadJack's where there are always winners to be found. I look forward to your write-ups along with many other fine cappers in here. Thanks again for the easy $100.;)
