End of regulation. 3rd and goal at the 1-yard line. 2 time outs left. The Vikings call time out immediately after the 2nd down play, with 30 seconds left. I immediately asked, "Why????" They should have let the clock run, they had plenty of time to call a play. Or they could have called time out with, say, 15 seconds left. They still had another time out if they didn't score on 3rd down.

Instead, they score with 23 seconds left. Then, they were kicking off from midfield and they don't squib it???? Would have run time off the clock and probably put the Lions inside the 25! Instead, they start at the 25 with all 23 seconds left.

Norv Turner would never have called time out there. Zimmer shouldn't have forced him out. It cost them this game.

I agree with everything you said
Norv was forced out
That being said , you give up 60 yards in two plays you deserve to lose .
Tough loss

I agree and I said the same thing as it is happening use your second time out with 15 seconds left and you still have another. norv Turner sucked period!! glad he is going Turner may have called a timeout with 40 seconds left. they were much less predictable today. but what a crushing loss

Thats the thing

They didn't give up 60 yards....they only gave up 35.

In today's nfl teams start from the 25 and kickers can make 55--60 yardera fairly regularly. You can give a team 20-25 seconds which is 3 plays to get 35 yards....its too easy when sitting in a prevent defense.

Said it as it happened when they rushed to call timeout...det will end up with a fg try to tie it.

Queens didn't deserve to win anyway....they got what they deserved.

Bears right back in the race!
