UNC up to 2.5 at some books now... worried their size will be too much for Villanova and the Wildcats might have shot their wad tonight as well.

Thought it would be 4.5 actually. Carolina will get huge public backing at that number. I actually think nova is a better team. Going to let this one marinate for a day thougj

Jordan, How did you think 4.5 after that performance tonight by Nova? I though UNC -2.5/-3 max before the games were even played and UNC -4.5/-5 vs OU.

I'm leaning heavily on Nova just because I can't stand Roy Williams or UNC, but Tar Heels are big and if they shoot well, they could crush and worried Nova shot their wad and come back to earth and get crushed with their lack of size. Also, the champion normally has NBA players and not sure a single player on Nova makes a NBA roster while UNC has at least 2 players who make it as Brice Johnson will be a decent NBA player & Paige will be a bench guard for someone... they still have guys like Meeks who could make a roster based on size, etc. Who from Nova makes a roster??? Maybe knowone.

So based on this, bet UNC! However I am leaning Wildcats as they seem on a mission and the white Italian is their leader and tough than a burn't Chilly Cheesesteak!

GLTA!

Carolina has superior athletes, stars, and hype. I think 2.5 is fair, just think Carolina will get 70% public backing at that number

Carolina too much talent, too deep

Carolina too much talent, too deep

As I state in my post Carolina has McDonald All Americas shooting lay ups. Nova has done it a couple of times already in this tournament - shoot over 60 to 70%. that what it will take for them to beat Carolina.

I think they will wear them out!

Good luck to you!

I think Jord is right the public will jump all over Carolina at that number butt at the same time I cannot pass up Carolina at that number now with that being said I am a big Heels fan and have been all my life and have sometimes in the past let my heart get in the way butt the better team here is Carolina so I'm jumping on it before the number goes up even though there going to be a huge public favorite and just like you guys not crazy about backing a huge public play butt how do you not take Carolina at -2 if you can get them I think they have to come out and absolutely just shit the bed to lose this game. Villanova's guards will get up and underneath Paige and Berry and defend them hard but I think UNC guards will play just good enough to get it done and in the end the size and the and talent of Carolina's BIGS will prevail. UNC - 2 for me ! gl you guys :0074 !!!!!!!

Nova is going to win OUTRIGHT! Books have their hands tied with this one....no choice but to put NC favorites and they love it cuz like Jord said public will be ALL OVER the Heels! It won't be that easy to just figure NC has the points in the paint edge and the arena isn't favorable to 3 pt shooting or outside shooting teams like Nova and it will be a NC easy victory. No chance! I watched Nova's inside game vs Kansas and they got the big men to get enough points there......this could be a VERY close game landing within 3-4 points. My money will be on VILLANOVA! UNC had their way with Cuse because zone was was easy to penetrate and then dish. Nova defensively will make it much tougher. Nova Guard size will also hurt Carolina. Agree with Jord - light number will bring tons of UNC action. Nova wins this one straight up.

Nova's front line is not as deep as Carolina's and if Ochefu gets in early foul trouble, bigs for UNC will dominate O boards. Nova can't rely on Jenkins when Ochefu is out an extended period of time.

Back courts are edge to Nova on size only, shooting % as well, Berry has been playing lights out "D" and will be paying more attention to Nova's other guard, Arci will be covered by Paige.

Edge for Nova is 3pt FG% and they shot the trey well vs Sooners, that's where Sooners failed besides FT line and turnovers, Hield had 4 that turned into 9 pts for Nova.

UNC doesn't make dumb mistakes like that and depth will be the key.

Line should have opened around 2 1/2 to 3, Vegas doesn't get the action with a bigger or smaller number either way, they want 50/50 action as much as possible.

Oklahoma had 52% of action on side, Nova 55% on ML on Sat, along with 61% on Over, opening total was 149 or 149 1/2, closed 144.

UNC opened -9 1/2, Cuse had 54% of the side, 72% on ML for UNC, 64% of total on Over, opening total was 147 1/2 closed at 143.

62% on UNC, opened @ -2, now -2 1/2, total opened 151 Over @ 59%, now at 150, ML 55% on Nova.

FWIW, I have UNC winning by 5 or more, 74-69, margin error is 2 pts either side, UNC 72 to 76 pts, Nova 67-69 pts.

GL!!

Can Nova shoot that good for 5 games in a row?

Why not? Peeps prob saying that the last 3 games and they did.......yea the odds kinda go against them as the games go on because it is a long stretch, but why not make it 6 games

Agree with Wild Bill, if Ochefu gets in foul trouble, Nova is done. They don't have much depth in the post and he's their only guy who matches up well with Meeks and Johnson. He's still not close to Johnson's level in the post.

Damn this is a hard game to cap IMO... really think it will be a great game and one team pulls away late. Don't expect another 15+ point game either way. Nova right now has the all time record for largest victory margin of victory in a NCAA tourney at +24 & change (A UCLA club is 2nd at almost 24 and likely will keep the record) and UNC has beaten everyone by 14+ this tourney... UNC has also won 4 straight championship games dating to 1982 with some guy named Michael Jordan (1993, 2005, & 2009 won as well). They are also 5-1 vs Villanova in the NCAA Tourney fwiw.

If you follow or play trends, consider these:

Roy in Championship 2-2 SU & ATS

Jay Wright, never been there

Nova is 5-0 off a DD ATS WIN, make that 6-0 w/win over Oklahoma

UNC 10-1 vs opp off a DD win >16 pts

#1 seeds, 8-3 SU/ATS
#2 seeds, 6-13-1 SU/ATS

Favs < 5 pts 12-3 ATS

Big East are 5-0 ATS

ACC are 6-3

Favs who score >80 pts are 5-1 ATS

"the bunker"
I know some disagree, but it`s awfully tough(mentally) to be sharp after winning by 45......

if nova comes out sharp again after the can of record setting whip-ass they opened on the sooners, they are indeed a special group(worthy of being national champ).....

I`m rooting for em.....I just don`t like the set-up...
