Probably going to bet with my heart tonight. I'm a die hard Carolina fan...and I have died. I haven't liked Bunting from day 1 but have tried to give him a chance.
I still laugh at his only winning season....8-5 in his first year. Had 2nd best defense in nation as well. Can't remember the exact schedule, but his best year, he still lost 5 games. Just played 13 total...

I simply can't believe how bad UNC has gotten, esp. the defense. This team is a joke with speed. They chase, they over-pursue, they can't tackle.

I think VA covers. I'm going to play VA ML and VA -7 and break even if Virginia wins w/o covering.

I want Bunting fired. I'm sick of hearing "the program is going in the right direction". I supported Crum, Brown, Torbush, and tried to support Bunting. He recruits enough speed and athleticism to potentially compete with the big dogs. But he loses to bad teams and has gotten beaten by more than 30 points....12 times.

Furman put up 42 points and almost won. SFla put up 34 halfway thru the 3rd qtr.

I am reduced to pulling against my Heels. Go Wahoos.

everything you posted is exactly why id be leery of getting too crazy with virginia. theres no excuse for carolina to be as shitty as they are. they have legitimate talent on that team. and on paper, i cant see how they are 7 point dogs tonight. now having said that, virginia is playing like an acc team lately, whereas unc is playing like an atlantic sun team. groh is the better coach and will probably have uva more prepared. that said, every now and then, talent can trump preparation and coaching .... and that makes unc somewhat live here. im gonna site this one out but will actually be watching it because i do want to see if carolina shows a pair of balls and if virginia continues to improve. gl tdj

ML a little steep, so I took Virginia -6. Bought 1 point. Put ML in a parlay with CMich ML, Mets, Over 9.

GL to all. Just get Bunting out of my life. I want a divorce...no, an annulment.

Thanks gman2. I didn't put a lot on it. Hard enough to watch pulling against the Heels so at least I can make money if they lose.

Thats the thing with UNC. They CAN compete with a lot of teams. It rarely happens, but it can. Thats not what I want from my favorite team. I want solid football with gradual improvement. Not 20 hail mary's and we catch one of them...

It's all going to come down to whether or not Bunting has lost his players yet.

We'll see tonight. If they are still on board with him, they should win this game.

If they've jumped ship (which is the word I'm hearing), then we'll see lackluster performance.

That will be the key IMO.

5th
and
8th total defenses in the country.

Carolina can always move the ball. They can't stop anyone and they don't play field position. Bunting still doesn't know how to manage a game.

I think Bunting is a good guy and the one thing I like is that he does discipline. He'll kick players off the team for things like marijuana and other stuff. Amato won't do that. Both coaches suck, but Bunting does have some class. Amato and company are thugs. UNC is just track stars that can't play football.

I feel bad for Bunting but I can't take it. Its been an embarassing 6 years to see the lack of good football being played.

Saint, how do you feel? Do you want Bunting gone? I've wanted it for years, but accepted him and wanted them to win.
After the Miami win a couple years ago, I was thinking that he had the program in a good place....not the way I would have wanted it done, but more power to him for doing it his way. Getting great talent and speed and not worrying about protecting the ball and playing field position, etc....but if talent can make up for that, well UNC had arrived under Bunting.

That game turned out to be a fluke. He's beaten a few teams, got a blowout against FSU and a great win against Miami. In return, several embarassing blowouts and losses to teams like Duke.

I want to play Bunting in a game of Madden (or NCAA '07).

One last thing...can't really say much more...

If anyone has it...go back and play the PS2 game...its NCAA '05 (give or take a year)....its bad most years lately.

Try to control Carolina...try to play a whole season. We play every game against other people (not the computer).
All the other team had to do was to run wide, every single play. The holes were enormous. I called every defense possible, and nothing. It might be 3rd and 12. Run a sweep or off-tackle. Easy 1st down.
I finally found a couple things that contained it. One was to use a dime and control a safety, playing for run every play. I tried to make sure not to give up long runs and most games still turned into shootouts. I'd have to score on every possession. It was like arena games...

I was like, this is bullchit...no way they are this bad. But, they were...

I thought the "fumble" was actually a forward pass. Can't believe they can't see that on the review. In any event, glad Virginia got the TD. Hope they cover.

I hate to root against a person like Bunting, but he's just a horrible head coach.

Bunting is a good guy and he loves carolina more than anyone but he's not the guy for the job. He's been here long enough to have his own guys and staff and there has been no improvement.

The problem was with the initial hiring of bunting. The person who needs to go is Baddour. Go back and look at Carolina athletics as a whole before that dickwad Baddour took the AD position. Baddour was the one who hired Torbush, Doherty and Bunting and he needs to be cleaned out as well. Too bad it won't happen.

A little aside...my old coach at carolina ran into Baddour right before he had dinner with the kenans...if you know carolina then you should know that name. In any case, my coach has a place up in PA that he goes in the offseason. Baddour told him that he was on his way to dinner w/ kenan and asked if he had an extra room in the PA lakehouse for him to move to.

Bunting will be gone. Not because the program is losing but because the seats will be empty. Money is the only motivator the BOG. If we went 1-10 every year and sold out then they would be content.

Yeah, I know the name "Kenan". I've oft said the words "Where would you rather be on a Saturday afternoon...than Kenan Stadium".

And, yeah, Baddour sucks. I think Bunting is planning to have a good team in the year 2015. Thats his plan. The program is going in the right direction. LOL. Its 23-0 now.

I know its about money. I just can't believe how much fans have loved Bunting the whole time. I guess its b/c he can recruit speed to a terrible program like no other.

Good guy, but I can't wait for him to be gone. Its torture trying to pull for this team, and even worse having to pull against them.

And I've said it a thousand times. I can't believe they fire Torbush...a defensive minded coach with no big name...
Then they hire Bunting. A def. coordinator from the Saints that no one has ever heard of.
And to top everything off. This def. coordinator takes a GREAT defense and turns them into a LAUGHING STOCK defense within a couple years.

How does this guy not know defense. I'm worried that they'll give him another year, and I'm also worried of who they would hire next...
