I have Norten Virus Protection and it is updated and has been for some time. I ran a scan this morning and it found 4 viruses but could not repair them. So what is a guy to do now?

Stop opening up attachments in your emails. No matter who they are from, stop opening them. Don't even open email attachments from your mom, dad, brother, sister, best friend, etc etc. You won't keep getting these viruses if u do that one simple thing. I hate antivirus software, it just slows down your computer, and u can attest to the fact that it doesn't always work. I don't have antivirus software, and I don't get viruses, that's because I never open attachments.

I would also recommend changing your email address. Use hotmail or yahoo for people u don't know and online stuff. Don't give out your personal email address except to personal friends and family.

What are the specific viruses that u have? Some of them are no problem to get rid of, others are a bear. U can go to www.mcafee.com and look them all up in the virus library there. It tells how to dispose of them as well. GL!

That's the thing I have not opened up any attatchments I rarely if ever get them.

There are two listed as W32.klez.h@mm
the other 2 have no virus info on them one is a dll file and doesnt appear infected not real sure how that got there to be honest

hmm, don't know how u would get them then. That W32 klez worm is one that has been sent to me dozens of times, but it's always from somebody I have never heard of and it's easy to spot. I think it's pretty easy to dispose of too. U might send an email to everybody in your address book warning them that u are infected with it because it will send itself out.

I know I'm not an expert on this, but If you can't repair them, don't you have the option to delete them??

I had a similiar situation a couple years ago.

I threw the DLL file away it was for a game I dont even use. I figure if I have problems because of a particular dll file being gone I will just download it off Microsoft. I would like to thank everyone for there help.:D
