Vizio TV problem/question

Just got one for Christmas, love the color once it "warms up". The 'warm up' period takes 20 minutes minimum, after that its perfect. Talked to the Customer service and they said it was the digital cable from the box to the tv. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me why it would be fuzzy for 20 minutes, then fine.

Anyone else heard of problems like that with a Vizio tv?

try a hd antenna for free air signal..

let tv cool..

hook up hd antenna..simple..denoted in manual

10.00 big lots or 12-15 walmart.

scan for stations..easy also..

you should have vibrant hd signal and beautiul picture..

if great picture that may eliminate question of possible faulty tv.

hope this helps

I was at a friend's house last week. He bought 4 Vizios (2 large and 2 medium). The two large ones (sorry, don't know exact sizes) work great. But both of the medium sized ones (probably in the 36-42" range) have TERRIBLE color on them. We played with them for quite some time and never got them right. They are all using the same cables provided by his cable company.

Any thoughts?

I would look for some calibrated settings for those most likely 42 in Vizio's.

Check AVS.

....maybe the 2 smaller sets were at the end of long cable runs?....

i had to buy some boosters for a couple t.v.`s at the end of long cable runs at my house........

probably not the prob.,but,it happens if the signal gets diluted......

Got the new cable and nothing has changed, in fact it is now taking longer to "warm up" 35 minutes when it used to be 20. My wife called Vizio and after 30 minutes of waiting left one helluva voicemail. Vizio called back and will be sending someone to my house to fix it. The guy better have a new one in his truck when he gets here.

So far, Vizio is on my shit list. They have one more chance to make this right or I'm going to slam their products and customer service on every message board known to man.

He wont have a new one for you. He most likely is going to swap out a panel or two...

On the course!
My ten year old, basic, 27" Sony tub-o-shit is still gettin' the job done!

(I think I paid a little less than two grand for it, too!)

I don't get it??????

If you just got it why don't you just take it back??? Costco will give you 90 days to return it for any reason. I think most other places like Best Buy and Circuit cCty will give you 30.............Also if you charged it you might have some type of return policy under your credit card.
