I've been wanting to post these photos for a while now as I drove through here on my way to the Grand Canyon a little over a year ago. Just outside of Vegas, about an hour away, is the Valley of Fire State Park (more info here). It can be a fun little half-day trip for those who have been to Vegas a few times and may want to get out and see what nature has to offer in the surrounding area. I had a great time driving through, up, down and around the winding, curving road that runs through the park. It also looked like it was a popular ride for bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts. So, if you are looking for a little adventure next time you are in town and want to get out for a hike and a nice time, I highly recommend renting a bike or a fun car and driving through here.
