Have any of his teammates said anything yet?
I cant find anything and am very curious how this plays out.

If this is really a case of a guy just quitting, that's horseshit.

Nfl should never allow him to suit up again if he decides to come back.

This sums up life now....if you are unhappy or losing, just quit.

He should have to explain to every kid in attendance why he did what he did

In years past, he would have never made it out of the locker room without an ass whipping:0003

somewhere over the rainbow
Davis issued a lengthy statement posted on the NFL's Twitter account, announcing he is retiring after 10 seasons.

''This isn't how I pictured retiring from the NFL,'' he wrote. ''But today on the field, reality hit me and hard. I shouldn't be out there anymore.''

Davis said he meant no disrespect to Bills players and coaches.

''I hold myself to a standard. Mentally, I always expect myself to play at a high level,'' he wrote. ''But physically, I know today that isn't possible and I had an honest moment with myself. While I was on the field, I just didn't feel right, and I told the coaches, `I'm not feeling like myself.'''

Above the Clouds....
He realized he couldn't physically perform as he did in the past. Maybe it wasn't the right time but at least he admitted he wasn't at the top of his game.

But my question is? What about the guys playing with injuries that are at 60 or 70%? I just do not think it is prudent to quit at half time during an NFL game? After the game is played ......I get that. :0008
