I have never seen so many people voting. We also have an extremely fiery local mayoral election in addition to the presidential election, so I think both have made the turnout huge. I think Dogs that Bark probably votes the same place I do (Cave mill Baptist Church) and he will probably agree that it's an extreme clusterfock. The "judges" don't know what the heck they are doing, and I saw several people get to the place where you are identified and then are told, sorry, u stood in the wrong line. The "judges" were telling people the wrong lines.

Seems also that a few of the lines had NO people in them, while others required over close to a 1.5 hour wait. Never have understood that.

I also read another thread, and they asked for driver's license and you had to recite your address. Fine with me, but I think it was MC saying that doesn't happen in Ohio. Also no one "challenged" me, whatever that means???? Is "challenging" asking for id?? If so, what's the big focking deal.

Anyway, turnout is huge in the Bluegrass.

Big turnout in metro atlanta. My voting time was thirty minutes in and out. From the sound of it I got off lucky compared to co-workers/friends.

Dead as hell here right now. Took me all of 2 minutes total to walk in, vote, and leave. The occasional extremely old person straying in to vote. I happen to live across the street from this areas polling place. Later it will pick up greatly when people get off work.

I plan on sitting on my porch with my jack-boots on and hood. Making sure my confederate flag doesn't get tangled up. It wet and windy here. Plan on burning a cross on the lawn when it gets dark out and shooting beer cans off my neighbor's ledge. It's a blast!

Well just got back from voting and my wait was around forty five minutes my usual wait in the past was around 5-10 minutes. No sign of any challengers at my polling site everything seemed to be on the up and up!

All clean but very crowded at my polls. One guy was pissing and moaning cuz he stood in the long line and then couldn't vote when he got up to the front. Turns out he had ordered an absentee ballot but hadn't filled it out and was wondering why he couldn't vote normally - idiot. Guess he wants 2 votes and we should all just trust him he didn't send the absentee ballot in. Actually he was told he could vote a provisional OR go get his absentee and take it to county office which was practically across the street but he chose to act all wronged and supressed.

Talking to the election official at our poll, he said that we have about 2,000 registered voters for that location. He had already seen about 400 come through at 11 am. Lunch time and after work are sure to be busy as well. Also, you throw in early voting and absentee, I think we may get up to a possible 60% in our area of registered voters. That would be great.

As for my experience, I saw the normal "Why in the hell would you do it like that" situations, but for the most part it ran pretty smoothly. My wife and I were out of there in about 35-40 minutes.

voted this morning around 8am in manhattan. not an overwhelming amount of people, but considering that the polling station that i went to is right in the middle of nyu campus, it didnt suprise me too much. i suspect that there will be long lines later on tonight, getting out that liberal vote in the city.
