I have been reading articles on-line about the huge massive registration drives in battleground states that have eclipsed all past records for voter registration, what I am wondering is where the hell were all these people in 2000? Also, why are these people all of a sudden deciding to register to vote? Who does this large registration help Bush or Kerry? From what I have read many scholars on the political process feel that this large registration is going to create chaos come election day with numerous lawsuits being filed. Ohio is going to be particularly ugly as the States Attorney General Kenneth Blackwell is currently being sued by five different parties both Rep and Dem for issues involving voting. According to one news report Blackwell (whom is a Repub African American) has been accused of trying to disenfranchise African American voters in the larger Ohio cities by forcing them to go out of their neighborhood's to vote. I just got a feeling this is going to get as ugly if not worse that 2000!

well, the thought is the more voters the better for Kerry. I have some folks at my work who tell me they have never voted but have registered and will vote for Kerry this time around.

Lest hope not. and it's about time more folks get off there asses and vote. NO Matter Who Wins. The last election helped cause the fealing folks have today. It's not good when one wins the popular vote and the other becomes president by way of the courts. The parties are said to be split. The vote comes down to about 5% of none desided. Hard to believe. So we need a large turn out to shake it up. Again no matter out come. For years folks alway said a large turn out helps the Dem,s. Not sure I buy that anymore. One thing you know the states that are in play can tell they are. The adds are relentless. If your all ready counted in the red or blue you dont get them all. It's starting to look like Ohio, Wis, Minn, Misso, Penn and Florida will deside the out come. The rest of you can stay home. Your already counted.
