I like Wade and understand his point about merchandising etc....but FFS. Play for the honour of your country and the games itself. It wasn't that long ago that pros were not allowed to participate in the Olympics....which meant all the commie's had stacked teams since they were falsely regarded as 'non paid athletes' in their country. Kudos to the real men of the Olympics....like Nadal and Canadian hockey players who compete hard just to get selected to represent their country without any thought of money...and then give their all in the quest for gold.
If ya don't like the idea...don't play...there are many willing to take your place. And please explain to me how you don't make enough as a pro that you need the extra $$$$!

They should be like celebrity contestants on "GAME SHOWS" and donate money for playing in Olympics to certain charities. Even if he thought this, he should have kept his mouth shut.

I used to be a fan of Wade but, time after time he proves he is nothing but a punk.
This episode follows the Kobe incident at the All Star game, his ongoing behavior in-games staring down players and referees and, of course, his whole situation with his girlfriend and kid.
He has only gotten worse since LeBron signed on and his behavior and attitude will only further decline. Let's see if he can make it through the playoffs without incident...I bet not.
