Just when I start thinking I will be able to ride the bike soon we get dumped with snow last night. Only 4 inches last night but the blizzard warning starts at 6pm tonight. If we get what they are calling for we should have a foot or more of snow by the time its done.

Nothing like NY or Colorado got this year but I will take what we can get.

Sleds are all fueled up and ready to go. The wife may have a hard time though. Last weekend she rolled her sled and broke the windshield and tweeked the handlebars. No shop in town had replacement parts in stock so she has to ride without a windshield. Oh well...at least she will be out riding. The plus part of the whole thing is we will have to make more pit stops so we can thaw her out.

Feel for ya Bubbas1. The wife and I went for a ride this afternoon and it was beautiful low 70's with a breeze. Taking the grandkid to the monster truck show this evening. Should be fun. The little one really digs the stuff and I enjoy it myself. Hope it warms us for ya soon!

Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!
Well, not sure how well this type job will be, with my left arm ready to fall off:scared :mj07: . Spent 4+hours with a two stage heavy duty snow blower, and just about done, when it started again about an hour ago! 30+mph winds only allow one way to blow the crap. Then when you get to the part that is blown on top of the stuff you have yet to do, its twice as high as the auger on the blower:bigun: :fingerc: . Then the fun begins:com:
Oh, and as I was finishing up, the Big, and I mean Big Plow(double plows on a CAT comes by and plows all the street shit back on to my 40' driveway apron.
The blower just chokes, and clogs when it hits that shit. :mj08: :nutkick
Yea, I love this shit:142smilie

I cancelled figuring the snow is gonna be too deep to get there.

I called them yesterday and asked them if the tourney was still on even if it snowed. They said yes it would still be on. We are not going because I dont figure there wil be very many people there so the payout will be small. If I had to guess I would say they got the hall donated to them for the day so they cant cancell it. Will look for other tourneys on other weekends. If you hear of one give a shout.

PharoahUB..Yes I would rather be riding now. But as you can see we sled so it makes up for some of the down time. You have to take what you get and make the best of it.

I can relate.. we are 1/2 hour north and west of Milwaukee and were supposed to get 1-2" last night.. ended up with 10 inches, so I already got a workout...

And the HEAVY stuff is supposed to come tonight.... I'm almost afraid to get up tomorrow morning, because I'm afraid of what I'll see...

The kicker is, I was in Tampa for work Thurs and Fri, and got on a plane to come home Friday night (it was 75 and sunny when I left)...

What the heck was I thinking?

Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!
Ok fockers, ready for this one? !...........

Ok fockers, ready for this one? !...........

Just got in!........

Lets see, 12:55am, no big deal normally.

Went over to some friends house for a birthday party for his wife and kid. Left around 7:00-7:15:After enough COCKtails to wind me down from todays shovel. Wife decides to leave around 10:30 to take the little guy home. No big deal, my good friend just poured me one, I have my own truck, and now some boyz time................
Painting the picture here; 40+mph wind gusts, near white out!
So Wifey gets Stuck. Back and forth, shovel, shovel, fuking shovel some more. BACK & FORTH, BACK AND FORTH:rolleyes: You get the idea. Three guys, one hour later, we get her out:toast:

Since we are only four blocks away, I tell her to follow me in the 4-wheel drive, and I will take the truck back:D

Come around the corner to the home stretch, and its the front wheel drive late model against the drift from hell:com:

Gun it thru the drifts, up to about 20, lay off the brakes, turn the wheels right, and floor it into the driveway apron...........needed about one more foot, but NOOOOOO.............
Wife comes behind me, and starts pushing the back of the car with the steel crash bars:argue: As she is still pushing, I get out and ask her whats wrong with her?:nooo: Tell her to take our son to bed, and I will take care of it, fuk it!

Start up the trusty BLOWER(Jack, please insert smiley face pushing snow blower, with snow flying straight over head right here) and proceed to make a path. As soon as I get the path, give it a try, spinning, Spinning, SPINNING......:look:
IT LITERALLY HAD SNOWED ANOTHER INCH IN LESS THAN 2 MINUTES, WTF?
SO, ITS A MATTER OF WILL NOW, PROBABLY ABOUT MIDNIGHT, BUT NOT SURE?
I dig with three different shovels, I snow blow, make tracks with the 4 wheeler behind the car, reshovel, BACK AND FORTH SOME MORE(sure the tranny fluid is shot!) and some how miss the other vehicle in the driveway by inches at about 20 miles an hour and slam the brakes as I slide into the garage:142smilie I DID IT! BUT,
The Focking Garage door wont go down:bsflag
So I spend another 15 minutes soaked, trying to get the drifts out of the laser for the garage door to come down. Screw it, finally just released the chain drive, and manually shut the cork sucker.
Parked the 4 wheel in front of the apron this time(screw those plows!) and came upstairs to a sick kid puking up crap everywhere, oh, and wife is passed out!............
Not sure why I typed all this, maybe therapy, but I have to go get a tissue for my bleeding nose that I just picked:fit01:

I love Wisconsin, Lets see, three hours? Calgon take me away!

Good Luck Mags?! LOL........

P.S. another thing that pisses me off is this:
"1. You have included 11 images in your message. You are limited to using 10 images so please go back and correct the problem and then continue again."

Frankly,
Franky

Ricknjax..Good to hear you are getting some riding in. I figure about another month or so here.

We didnt get as much snow as the said and now they are saying some rain is going to move in. North of me they got alot more snow.

So its back to plan A again. Heading out for the poker tourney.

Hey Marine...If you do end up making it. I will be the one in a UKES HD t-shirt. If you cant find that..just look for me at the final table. Ive got the good karma going for me after plowing out the neighbors driveway.

I was told you are allowed to just show up and then sign in.

I'll gladly trade you Wisconsin guys the inch of ice we got last night for your snowfall.

And we had the 30-40 MPH winds, with gusts to 50 MPH to go with it.

It started at about 10 AM as I was leaving the gym, and the wife had taken the ice scraper out off the car, so I was using my membership card to try and clear the ice of the windows--yep, the card broke in 2...:mj07:

So I sat in the car with the fans at full blast on window defrosters for a few minutes--luckily for me the ice wasn't too thick yet, so it didn't take long for the windows to clear. The roads were fine, no problems getting home.

The real fun started around 3 PM as the winds really picked up and the rain/ice came down hard--a half-inch of ice all over everything really fast meant power outages all over the area--we never lost power, but at about 5 we heard a huge cracking noise followed by a huge crash. I ran into the kitchen, flipped on the back patio light to see the approx 10 inch diameter and 15 foot long tree limb sitting less than 2 foot from the house. Somehow it missed the house, the power lines, and the neighbors fence.
Before I could put on some shoes and a coat to go out and investigate further, my neighbor is at my back door asking me if I had heard that limb snapping.
I told him we sure did, and the two of us checked out the limb and marveled how lucky we were that the limb came straight down out of the tree without hitting anything on its way down to change its flight pattern, as it were.
My house was built in 1939, and the tree has to date to close to that as its over 100 foot tall and a good 6 foot in diameter at its base--its an oak tree.
Clean-up will have to wait a few days as we are supposed to get 4-6 inches of snow today(not snowing now...)
The good news is that I installed an in-ground fire pit area last summer. I should have enough twigs to start fires all season and enough larger pieces of wood for a few decent fires this spring.
Anyone got a decent chainsaw for sale, cheap?....:D

Franky:

thanks for the laugh.. I needed it. We ended up getting about 14 more inches last night - and it's all the wet, heavy stuff. Thank God for a good snowblower.

Like I said, I needed the laugh. Helps the pain that I feel in my limbs from snowblowing and shoveling.

Oh yea - there is nothing worse than the wife having a small dog (shih tzu) and having the shovel half the grass (after the long driveway and sidewalk) too just so her little dog has a place to take a dump!

well,
down here by me it was rather dull and anti climactic.

nothing but ice last night, and rain all morning. I dont even have to shovel my driveway for this "blizzard"
threw out a few handfuls of salt last night, then again this morning. I'm staring at blacktop.

kinda sucks as i had alternate plans to head up to potowatomi instead of work on monday and the wife would never know. looks like work will be work on monday
