Walking Ibanez to get to Sexson?

Ok, this is at least the third time this year I've seen a team walk Ibanez to get to Sexson. Two times he's homered, the other time he hit, I believe, a double. My question is... why??? While Ibanez is no slouch, Sexson is without a doubt the biggest threat the Mariners have. It never ceases to amaze me how much emphasis managers put on the righty/righty, lefty/lefty matchup b.s. Just because your pitcher is right handed you would rather have him pitch to Sexson with the bases juiced than pitch to Ibanez with second and third? I'll never understand that reasoning...

with Danny Graves on the mound it makes no difference who the hitter is, the result is always the same so Wedge just wanted to slight Ibanez and help Richie since he isnt off to the best start

Well you have to at least give Graves credit for his hair. He's really rockin' the Jeff Spicoli look isn't he?
