Walsh is still very much a leader

According to a press release date 01/07/03. 49ers coach Steve Mariucci looks to Bill Walsh's expertise in scripting plays. The script includes: Calling particular runs designed to set up play-action passes, Running trick plays, Designing plays to move the ball in small chunks and set up a deep throw. with a script, the offensive players could devote more study time to definately would be used in the game.When Walsh coached the 49ers to their first three superbowl championships in the 1980's he was ahead of his time. His first championship 1981 he outscored it's three postseason opponents 58-27 during the first half. His second championship he piled up almost identical first half numbers 55-26 during the 1984 postseaoson. See a trend?
Make no doubt Mariucci is the coach however Walsh is the strategist of this current 49ers team. HE IS CURRENTLY WORKING ON SCRIPTING THE FIRST 25 PLAYS THIS WEEK AGAINST THE TAMPA BAY BUCS. (That's on the record). Mr. Lock says off the record he has a FULL-GAME PLAN FOR SUN.

My gut says Tampa Bay is just too strong for the 49s especially at home. That defense is going to really dig in on a playoff run to the superbowl.


Sorry Mr Lock. But then again I did have San Fran in that St Louis match up. Maybe I am still pissed at them.

I will take Gruden over a team who has a phony + ghost coach
every time you want to go there......which may be why the 9'ers
have no real identity.......they go down this weekend. TB will
