Is the Constitution under attack from the so-called "Patriot Act?" Well, that depends on what you think about the FBI using the Patriot Act to enter your home and plant a little bug on your computer that records every keystroke you make .. even keystrokes not connected to any e-mail messages .. and then leave. Oh, and they don't even have to tell you they were there for three months.

Well I have to agree with you, I voted for old GW but I don't like the way our rights are gradually being taken away. It seems like we are entering George Orwell's 1984, where Big Brother will know are every move, I don't want to live like we are residence of Moscow. I will go on record right now saying that I will not be voting for George Bush come the next election, at this point I am not really overly excited about any of the Dem's running, so I may have to waste my vote and vote for Ralph or some other third party. Going back in the past history of politics, doesn't it seem like Ross Perot was onto something about our economy? Seems like more jobs are going overseas then ever before in history, thanks NAFTA. The reasons I will be not voting for GW come the coming election are: 1) the overuse and abuse caused by the Patriot Act, 2) I don't feel he is competent to turn the economy around, 3) I don't like the far right religious aspect that the administration seems to be pushing for, 4) I don't like the foriegn policy that we have set out on during this administration, we cannot spread ourselves so thin around the world and actually expect anything good to come of it, by going into Iraq alone it has created nothing but a future training ground for terrorists, Iraq is a mess that will have us tied up for the next ten years. 5) I just don't believe anything that GW says anymore, he has danced around the truth too much for me. When I voted for GW I really thought he was going to be more like Ronald Reagan but he has turned out to be nothing like RR.

Just remember, MC, that voting for a third party is not throwing away your vote. If more people threw their vote away, we may see some reform in this country. I think that term is being pressed by the major two parties, so people will continue to think like that.

My first presidentil election was when Perot ran. I still think he had a shot if he would not have dropped out and then came back. I "wasted" my vote that year. I'm not saying that they guy didn't have his faults, but I am willing to try anything to get away from this BS that we live with now.
