I have always liked McCain, supported him against Bush, the guy usually has some good ideas. Anyone that could live in a box like he did for years is one tough SOB

Isn't McCain one of the senators trying to pass the ban on internet gambling?

I agree that you can't fault the man's courage. I can't imagine the mental and physical toughness it took for those years as a POW.

However, I'm not a fan of his from the political side. I remember in the primaries his flirtation with the democratic party. Pissed me off.

I should preface this by saying I have never liked John McCain. I think McCain is right that, if we make the decision to crush Iraq completely, then we should send more troops. That is, *if* we decide that, "victory is the only exit strategy, " then McCain is right.

Personally, I think that we shouldn't have gone over there in the first place. I believe that the sooner we pull out of there altogether the better. Most people in the U.S. had no concept of the level of resistance prior to this invasion and it is showing now. I think most people who were educated on the situation over there prior to the invasion knew that this situation would be long and messy.
