There was some pretty good discussion in this forum and the NCAA football forum last year regarding the difficulties that warm weather teams can have travelling to cold weather sites, particularly late in the year. There was some speculation that the humidity of the south could have a similar effect on northern teams heading south, but I think that's less founded imo.

Simply, I'm looking to define a list of Cold Weather teams and a list of Warm Weather teams, lumping the remaining teams into an Other category. My delineation would be pretty basic. The cold weather teams would figure to be playing Decemeber home games at 30* or less normally. The warm weather teams would be unaccustomed to freezing temperatures. Pretty basic. I think I would exclude any borderline cases. That said, here's how I would break it down.

COLD
Buf
Chi
Cin
Cle
GB
NE
NYG
NYJ
PHI
PIT
SEA

WARM
Arz
Atl
Car
Hou
Jax
Mia
NewOrl
SanDiego
Tampa Bay

BORDERLINE (?)
Bal
Dal
Den
Oak
SanFran
Tenn
Wash

Does anybody think I blatantly missed the boat on any of the Cold and Warm teams? I wasn't sold on the Borderline teams I listed. Should mid-Atlantic teams (Balt, Wash) be considered cold weather? And Bay Area teams (Oak, SF) could be tricky b/c of the weird weather patterns. Any comments re this are appreciated.

GL, folks. Best wishes.

I would definitely consider BAltimore and Washington cold weather teams. Carolina would be borderline... But I would consider it cold weather. Denver is definitely a cold weather town.

I wouldn't have Seattle in the Cold list. It's wet, yes, but not very cold. Almost never snows there. Also can't say I really agree with putting Carolina in the Cold list. Cold if you're from Miami I guess. :)

Also, you have New Orleans listed in Warm, but they're a dome team. Since I see other dome teams are not listed, I'd assume they shouldn't be either.

As for Houston...retractable dome. I am not sure what their policy is. Say, if there is a very hot day...will they close the dome and turn on the air conditioning?
