I did not touch the game, but how many pitches 6 inches off the plate did they call strikes on yankee hitters. You never ever see that with the Yanks. Usually they get a smaller zone.

What was interesting is the Yankee pitchers got squeezed. They never got the same strikezone as the Redsox. You notice they stopped showing that box because the ump was calling so many out of the zone on the yanks.

I have never seen such a one sided zone against the Yanks ever. Just looks fishy comparing how much money was on the Yanks compared to the Red Sox.

People will go back and forth on this (fixing of games).

Check out some of the homeplate umpire trends and it may provide a better explaination of what happened last evening. gsp is one of the best at capitalizing on this.

That very last pitch that Papelbon threw was not a strike. Not even close.

Maybe about the fixing part it was me sonic. However, when was the last time you seen the Yankee have a strikezone like that where that many balls were strikes. I do not think you can argue that because pitchtrax was showing the balls were obviously off the plate. My point is maybe the fix is going overboard, but I have never seen a strikezone so one sided against the Yankees. The last inning there were 4 pitches Papelbon got for strikes that were not even close.:0074
