How do you explain a guy of this caliber playing like this:shrug: I have never seen a baketball superstar play like this in a finals in my whole entire life. What are your thoughts? Is anybody as shocked as I am a player of this caliber could play like this bad for a whole series.

HELL
I started a thread games ago on the same thought process. I have never seen something like this in my life, where a guy that was an offense force for the last 5-6 years in Cleveland with virtually no help and multiple double triple teams, to a player who acted like the ball was scalding hot. The same player that scored like 25 points in the fourth quarter I believe against the Pistons in the playoffs. He makes Houdini look bad. This is a real head scratcher. I surely hope someone in the media has enough balls to challenge him and call him out. One of the most gutless performances in sports I have seen EVER.
They kept showing the Dallas arena and shots from a German bar, shit this just in....everyone has off tomorrow in Cleveland for the celebration that is going on there.

I hope the ass- clown and his "Dynasty Buddies" never get closer than sniffing a trophy at a respectable distance....

Dallas played as a veteran team, Cuban was a good boy, they take the hardware home.....:00hour

He was playing hot potato in the 4q as if he was scared to fail. Clearly among the most embarrassing efforts from a player of his caliber I can recall.

So. Cal
personally i think he's a fraud and afraid.....afraid of failure....which is why he went to miami, so he could partner up with wade and have him be the "closer"

the guy shrivels up and shits the bed when the chips are on the table.....too bad he had to have his few instances of a killer mentality vs the bulls (esp game 2) as i thought that series would expose him

from a basketball perspective, he has no go to move when he really needs it (4th quarter, pressure on)....he's a freight train in the open court, can drive past most defenders (in the regular season) and can play lock down defense (when engaged) but he CANT play off the ball and he's the same player offensively as d wade; both need the ball and a clear out (but wade can actually post up).....if james had a post up game, he's have destroyed kidd/terry/barea on the offensive end when they were forced to guard him.

People love to cover for him.
In Cleveland the rumors were Delonte West was sleeping with his mom, now rumors that Lebron is down because his girlfriend left him for Rashard Lewis.

It looked like a deer in headlights in every 4thq and no woman causes that.
He took his game to another level in the 4thq, too bad it was a lower level.

Yep. I agree. I don't like to knock somebody that I can't even compare to but when he had the ball in the open court in a fast break situation with two guys out on the wing and decided to dribble into triple coverage and turn the ball over I was like who is this guy. Really! He's just another joe blow every now and again clutch guy. Seriously. The guy has no consistancy but for some reason we always give people the benefit of the doubt when they are put on a pedastool.

He does

He takes the ball to the top of the key....he dribble dribble dribbles and takes a bad shot right before the shot clock ends.....havent you noticed??

He also has his patented 8 step travel/crab dribble.

After watching Lebron during that Cleveland playoff and now this I have come to a determination.

i honestly think it`s a team chemistry issue...how many times have we seen teams with less talent but better chemistry win?....happens all the time....

i think miami got this far on sheer talent.....but they met a team that had come together at the right time...dallas dismantled the lakers like they were garbage....

i can`t recall seeing a better jump shooting team than dallas...they were lights out....and that little fricking point guard?...whoa!

i really think that it takes more than one season for all that talent to jell(look at dallas)...they have three guys that are used to being the focal point......you saw it at the end....the heat were over-passing time and again with 2 minutes left on the clock down 10...they haven`t established an identity yet........it`s not a question of selfishness...it`s just the opposite...

this team will win their championship,imo...

They had an entire offseason and about 100 games to build team chemistry. I think Dallas just outcoached and outplayed them and finally started knocking down open shots the last few games.

Miami is unstoppable and look great when they have a lead, let shot clock run down, and start jacking up 3-pointers. But when they miss those tough shots, they look very bad for settling when they could easily hang on and win the game.

Also, where the hell was Miller in Game 6? Was he hurt? I don't think he played at all.

agree that dallas outplayed them...don`t agree that in all cases, you can build team chemistry in one season...

just my opinion

Ah just think another season of 15 second video bites of Lebron's dunks on ESPN 24-7 and everyone will be right back on board with how great he is. Then the guys who actually watch the full game will shake our heads collectively in amazement just how easily people can be manipulated. Espn is the Fox news of sports. They shape the clueless peoples minds and basically show them what they want them to bet. You would think that ESPN has lost all credibility when it comes to Lebron but in a week this will all be forgotten.
Hell even that hyping clown Dick Vitale said the MJ comparisons need to be buried.

Maybe Barkley can help some of ya
