I think UCLA's spirit was killed with that loss to USC. Had they won, they would be playing for the chance to go to the Rose Bowl and this would be a huge game. Now, if they win, they put their most hated rival in the Rose Bowl. I know a good many UCLA fans who are rooting for WSU this week for 2 reasons: 1) keep SC out of the Rose Bowl and 2) get rid of the fat man Toledo. Plus, there is a chance that they might get a better bowl bid by losing this game as the Holiday Bowl would not be obligated to take ASU. On the other side of the coin, WSU has everything to play for.
