Lawrence Kinnard scored 10 points for the Blazers.

Anthony Price had 14 points and seven rebounds to lead Tulsa (5-9, 0-1).

The Golden Hurricane outrebounded UAB 44-22, but UAB's 39-8 advantage in turnovers made the difference.

It was the second game for the Blazers without their No. 2 scorer, Demario Eddins, who is out for the season with a torn Achilles tendon.

UAB started off slowly and fell behind 9-4, but a jump shot by Kinnard garnered a 12-11 lead and the Blazers never looked back.

An 18-0 run late in the first half helped UAB to a 47-23 halftime lead.

The Blazers lead by as many as 38 points in the second half.

This team is very fun to watch and very good this year. They lost thier #1 scorer a few games ago, but that has brought this group closer together. The closeness is echoed in thier shared time on the court.
