Congress is voting yea to cafta. After Bush makes stop at congress to make sure rebel Reb's get back in step. They use that old story if they have more jobs in South America fewer people will try to get across the border. Are they ever going to learn that won't do it.
Wait the voting just changed to Nay. But there are 30 reb's left to vote it's down to them.

The benefit is they no longer have to show up for work. Either that or they still must go, but will no longer be burdened with all that unneccesary expendable income anymore.

and instead of giving our money away to foreign countries we can now pay these people to produce a product we need!!!

AND, we have opened more markets for our services and products and have raised the standard of living conditions for poorer nations!!!

now more Americans can work in the tourism, service, desigin, golf course, leisure, hi-tech, medical, defense department, scientific, managerial, etc. etc. industries

better jobs and our standard of living goes up even more as we can find other people to screw the toothpaste caps on the toothpaste

let us all bask in riches (HORRIBLE NEWS FOR THE GOVERNMENT DEPENDENT COMMIES I KNOW)!!!

you see the government, its bureaucrats and devoted leftists, woudl rather see people spoonfed at a low minimal rate in return for a five letter word that they love: P-O-W-E-R

they would hate for everyone to enjoy a well-paying job, pursue the American dream, have incentive to achieve, own a nice house(own their own PROPERTY the disHONORABLE Souter, Ginsburg, Kennedy, and the rest of the leftist stench), work hard and be emotionally, socially, physically, and mentally healthy and independent as a result

Hey I need a young fellow like you to put in your 42 years. And pay into the S S. I like those checks showing up ever month in the mail. When your government tells you it don't work. Tell them go away. Plenty of money there. Just need those jobs so folks keep earning there fair share. Wall Mart of course keeps the fair share away from most there workers. In my city most full time Wall Mart workers go to city hall and apply for well fair. Hell they qualify for 75 to 90 bucks a month. Hard to compete with those low paying Mexicans

I don't know where you live, but know a few people that work for Wal Mart and are not complaining. And I doubt if there are many places where cost of living is more expensive than Southern California. Wal Mart obviously doesn't pay their front line workers huge dollars. Well, I know it hurts to say this, but if you don't want to work for lower wages find a useful skill. Go to community college, adult schools, trade schools. Learn something that will set you apart from the rest of the population. Don't rely on government welfare to supplement your income. Do something on your own to better your life, don't expect the government to make up for your lack of initiative. Also, hate to keep referring to "the government" because the government is you and me and the other taxpayers and we foot the bill for welfare among thousands of other things.

I agree go to school learn get a degree or a trade anything to help your self.
But if the good jobs are gone. You stand in line even with that paper work thats says you are ready, trained and smart.
Wall Mart pays about 11 people at our store over 7 bucks a hour.The rest get 5.80 to 7 bucks. Most get only 35 hours a week. They have just over 200 that work there.
And if they take the health plan they take home very little each month. Only reason this info is open is due to a union situation at the store at this time.
As for go get better job. Not everyone can be a lawyer, doc, teacher, nurse, what ever. We do need folks to work at places like Wall Mart. I guess since they are working. A little more pay would not hurt. If they were standing out side the store panhandling that would be different.
