Cruz is a decent pitcher.

He just hasn't gotten any run support in his starts. He has also been the victim of a ton of unearned runs--check his ERA.

He does walk alot of batters, but I think he might know that Mark Prior (another young Cub phenom) is waiting in the wings, just a couple starts of AAA ball away. He may find his control.

Will the Cubs bats wake up???

I like the Cubs + the money..

good luck guys

Dr. Feelgood --

I see what you mean about Cruz walking a lot of batters -- 2 in the first and 1 in the second. He's thrown 40 pitches only 21 for strikes.

Putting that many guys on probably why he gets in trouble with all of those unearned runs.

You are correct in saying those unearned runs are the product of his putting all those men on base.

With a 94-95 mph fastball with movement, you would think he would just come at the freakin hitters and get it done with his stuff...

He is definately a pitcher to watch once he gets those control problems solved...a stint to the minors when Prior comes up could do the trick...look what it did for Halladay...

take care
