Detailed Local Forecast For Foxboro, MA

Today: Periods of snow and windy. Cold. High near 30F. Winds NNW at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of snow 80%. 2 to 4 inches of snow expected.

..WINTER STORM WARNING THROUGH EARLY THIS AFTERNOON...

BANDS OF HEAVY SNOW WILL DIMINISH TO FLURRIES SOMETIME THIS AFTERNOON... BUT NOT BEFORE STORM TOTALS OF 15 TO 25 INCHES ARE REALIZED. THE NOTABLE EXCEPTION IS COASTAL PLYMOUTH COUNTY WHERE TOTAL AMOUNTS COULD BE LIMITED TO BETWEEN 7 AND 14 INCHES... ESPECIALLY FROM MARSHFIELD SOUTH TO THE CAPE COD CANAL.

GUSTY NORTH WINDS... GENERALLY TO 40 MPH... ALONG WITH TEMPERATURES HOLDING MOSTLY IN THE 25 TO 30 DEGREE RANGE WILL ALLOW FOR MUCH BLOWING AND DRIFTING. EXPOSED TERRAIN SHOULD SEE DRIFTS OF 4 TO 5 FT... ESPECIALLY IN NORTHERN RHODE ISLAND AND INTERIOR SOUTHEAST MASSACHUSETTS.

SNOWFALL RATES AT TIMES THIS MORNING WILL STILL BE AN INCH OR 2 AN HOUR. HEAVY SNOW WILL LINGER IN PLYMOUTH COUNTY OF SOUTHEAST MASSACHUSETTS THROUGH MID AFTERNOON.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TRAVEL THIS MORNING... DO NOT.

Forcast for Foxboro Mass. Looks like Logan airport is a mess.

Maybe an UNDER play (if they even play?)

Thoughts??

Live about 15 miles north of Gillette and the snow has actually tapered off....but only after dumping at least 2 feet. I expect the new stadium crew to have the field in okay shape...first time we have had serious snow at Gillette. I always feel the wind speed is the most over riding factor to consider and the forecast is for gust of 40 mph.

I basically think the Dolphins will be hungrier and gotta be sick and tired of hearing how they lose in December. Definite Pats fan here, it just seems this year's team will win the game but not overly impress you. They have a new punter today who should get baptized well with today's conditions!
