Cubs/Mets under 8.5o: cold bats on both sides dictate this play, though both bullpens have been solid recently, as well; Rusch is tough at home so I'm confident he'll do fine, but Tapani's recent form scares me a little

Boston and Wakefield even over Cleveland: Burba is garbage while Wakefield's ERA sits under 3; Boston bats, ignoring last night, are in good form so they should hit Burba like everyone else has; weather reports seem to point to a favorable air for Wakefield's knickler, as well; Boston's recent bullpen escapades scare me a little here, but with Burba on the mound, the advantage should be big enough to have some room

KC/Det under 9.5o: recent form of both these guys (Suppan & Weaver) scares me, as this bet is based on my overall positive thoughts on these 2 more than that; KC is 8-2 under last 10 with Suppan starting; poor hitting teams like Detroit don't seem to wake up 2 days in a row, so I'm banking on that gut instinct here, as well

Ana/Oak under 9.5: home plate ump Hirschbeck is 14-2 under in 16 games this year; recent form of Schoenweis scares me, but his rough recent outings were against Seattle, and he had good success this year against Oakland, so I'm banking on that again; both team's pens in good shape and neither team is really hitting, so under is the play here

Good luck today.
