Early looks

Seattle/Boston

Felix Hernandez (1-0, 0.00) gets the start, seeking to follow up his April 2 performance against Oakland, when he held the A's to three hits over eight innings, walking two and striking out a career-high 12 in Seattle's 4-0 victory.
Hernandez won his only career start against the Red Sox, a 5-2 victory at Seattle last July 22 in which he limited Boston to two runs and four hits in seven innings.

Matsuzaka may be primed to make a similar splash. The right-hander gave up just one run and six hits in seven innings of Boston's 4-1 win at Kansas City, striking out 10 batters and throwing 74 of his 108 pitches for strikes.

runs could certainly be hard to come by in this game..total 8'

Phillies/Eaton...New York Mets OL. Perez

Eaton allowed seven hits and eight runs while walking four in 4 2-3 innings as Philadelphia lost 8-4 to Atlanta on Thursday, part of the Phillies' 1-6 start

The Mets now turn to left-hander Oliver Perez (1-0, 1.29) as they look to win a fourth straight meeting with the Phillies. Perez gave up one run and five hits while striking out six in seven innings of an 11-1 win on Friday in Atlanta. It was the second time in Perez's 112 career starts that he lasted at least seven innings and did not issue a walk.

"Right now we are just out of sync," manager Charlie Manuel said. "We do some great things, and the rest of our game falls apart. ... I think we've got to fix our bullpen, yes. If we have the people in house, good."
sounds like Charlie dreads picking up the phone to the pen
Eaton will play hell chewing up a full 7 innings..

Mets on the R/L maybe

more tomorrow..
