WLA goes 6-4. Totals 5-2. I didn't do as well going 2-2 but taking the hit on the juice with Mon. Today we have a lot of umps and not many plays. These are worth looking at.

A couple of games worth talking about. First consider this. Bill Welke is behind the plate at Mil. He is a dog ump. He is 7-3 dogs in his last 10. Mil is 1-6 career with their only win coming as a dog. Quevedo is 0-1 losing to Cinn 8-5. On the other hand, the Cubs don't look much better at 2-3 but their 3 loses were by a total of 5 runs. Bere is also 0-1 with a 1 run loss to Stl with Morris pitching. Trying to play the Cubs with that bull-pen is like playing russian roulette.
The other game is Tex/Ana with John Hirshbeck behind the plate. This is one of the most predictable umps in the business. He is a under ump that loves home teams and fav. All the current trends say that Ana can't lose. Looks easy, just play Ana and under. It looks too easy, especially since I have a strong signal that Hirshbeck goes over today. So I started looking a little closer and here are a couple of things that interested me. Valdes has faced Ana twice this year giving up 3 runs and only 12 hits in 15 innings. The last game which was in Ana he won 4-1. Looking closer I found that, on the road, his era is only .19 while at home it is 5.06 But here is the kicker. Washburn on the road has a era of .86 but at home is 3.82. He is 5-0 on the road but only 2-4 at home. I'm considering playing Tex tonight but won't touch the total.
