Ohio -7.5 over Rhode Island ****
Ohio can score and shoot the 3.They are leading MAC conf or almost in, FT%,3Pt shooting, and scoring.almost 80 pts a game.Troutman is a 6'6 scoring fd that plays the pt foward. He leads the team in assits.Tillman is 6'6 and 250lb avg 15 pts and 8 bds.Williams is 6'8 and avgs 13 pts and 7 bds.The inside game of the Bobcats will cause matchup problems with URI.Ohio also can shoot the 3 with Watcher who is 16-34.King comes off the bench and can hit.Chatman the pt gd is a role player. Also Van Kempman the dutch kid is 6'9 and 250 and getting more playing time.Marist opened up with Ohio and got destroyed by 16.Brady said "that was one tough team esp inside".
URI has been at home in the Ocean state.I love Baron as a coach but in order to recruit at URI he has changed his style of coaching. It's not the half court game he used at St Bonnie. He's playing uptempo, fast break. The new nickname of URI is the "running rams".His son and Bitee play the gds and both can stick the 3.Daniels a 6'8 kid from my area is there leading scorer at 17 pts.Seawright has played great avg 12 pts and 9 bds.But the problem with barons new style is there Defense.Teams are scoring on them.Houston,Prov,BU,DePaul, all pretty good teams have been scoring in the 80's,90's and 100's.URI can shoot the 3 and are 6th in the nation. But they have been shooting those 3's in Kingston RI.Think on the rd at Ohio they cool down a little.Ohio is also 14-0 at home in non conf games.Lyr Ohio beat RI by 10 on the rd.Think URI defense will have a hard time stopping Troutman and keeping Tillman and co off the bds.A double digit win at home for the bobcats..

Cincinati -5.5 over Miami O **
Rebounding edge gives Kats the advantage.Williams the juco transfer is on fire.Avg 17 pts and 12 bds in last week. But Deonata Vaughn the frosh has scored 24 and 25 in last 2 vs NC St and XU.He is BE's top frosh scorer. Both teams can't shoot the 3 or FT's.Miami fds can score but think there weak at gds.kats are more athletic and quicker. One common opp XU.Kats won,M lost.Lyr Cinncy won by 10.Miami offense has struggled.Peavy and Politz can score..With the way Vaughn has been playing he's an impact player and will lead this team..Kats win by 10 also.

Northwestern -8 over Loy md **
Tune up game before the B-10 season opens. NE's defense will cause problems for the Greyhounds.Greys lost to ,St Petes and American on the road by 7 and 10.Also just lost to High Point by one or 2.Wilcats play that 1-3-1 match up zone.Carmody runs the back door motion offense.Greyhounds aren't disciplined enough on defense to stop it. Brown will be player of the yr in the MAAC the way he's playing but if he's slowed down tonite they don't have enough around him.

If you use the ATS as part of your capping...
URI is 2-8 ats and ranked 269th out 0f 271 teams. But are 10-0 in the over-under.didn't realize the running rams had such a great over record. Tonite its 158..wow..that seems high but...Bradley tonite is 9-1 in over -under.UAB is 3-6,Northeastern 2-5 but Louisville 2-5-1.N-Iowa 3-4,Wright St 2-4,Ohio 4-5,Cinncy 4-3,Clev St 6-4,Loy Md 2-2,NW 5-4...just some tidbits.. good luck tonite

bohawk..your leaving now? i thought you leave later..if so have a safe trip..can't wait for your post from Padre..
stomie...loved Niagara Falls.we stayed at the hilton on the canadian side, next to the casino.Cannot believe we New Yorkers that live south don't go up there. The falls was unreal. the power of it cannot be described..Our room overlooked the the Canadian Falls.Post card view.We did the "maid of the mist". my wife fell in love with "butter fly gardens".Like botanical gardens. We went twice looking at the rose gardens, etc. That made up for the late gambling at nite..It was our 1st vacation with all 6 of us in years.
Loved your area.Tried to get in touch with Pat M. former coach of Niagara LaSalle but we missed. Not only is he the best HS coach in NY but a good friend. When they closed the school and combined with Niagara the other guy got the job. Can't remember his name but he's good too. Mucho b-ball talent in your area.

Dan Bazanni (spelling) was his name. He quit last year and ran for State Assembly and lost. He is still the athletic director.
