To many games today....
G.Wash -1.5 over Fordham ****
Rams win 3 in a row...looking good and maybe ready to make a move in the A-10....then they play Richmond at home..now Spiders are ok but have trouble scoring...well not last week..they blow the Rams out of the Bronx, across the street to White Castles on Fordham Rd...70-48....Rams have one of the best pt gds in Chart..Hawkins can score..Anderson can shoot, and the German kid Seng is big and slow but has a nice touch....but defense is a problem esp. if they let the Spiders score that many..well GW has some real scorers..one is 6'9 Cavanaugh and he will get his 19-20 pts and 9 bds...Sina the transfer is good and Want-ta Be who does have the best name in the country is tough..Wash wins this by 6 to 10 pts on the road....maybe before the bus leaves the fordham campus the GW players can just cross the street and order some White Castle " belly bombers"...but keep those windows open on the way back to DC..{ not sure if many here know White Castles..but if you do you can relate..strong play

UConn -2.5 over ECU ****
Think line moved up already...both teams have been losing...ECU has lost 10 of last 14 and Huskies have lost 7 or 8 on the road....what ever..a lot of losing.Huskies woke up and won a few games..they played Smoo tough even though they lost by 9...Huskes don't run and gun..they play a slow pace....Purvis is playing good... Adams is tough and not sure of his status...if he doesn't play will pass..if he does I like them over ECU...ECU has trouble scoring..there best players Bartley has been suspended every other game...not the whole game...1st half,2nd half,1st 10 minutes..I really like their big kid but he needs to grow....think Huskes can get a rd win tonite...esp if Adams plays..

Dayton -5 over VCU **
Best game of the nite...VCU just mowing teams down and runs into URI...Flyers get a win and cover because Scoochie hits two 3 in OT the other day...love Cooke and Pollard...this is one talented team so well coached...VCU won the 1st game 73-68 by 6..think Dayton home crowd alone gives them 3 or 4 pts and Scoochie the rest...not a strong play because VCU is really talented...

Texas Tech -8 over Texas *
I was at the last game in Austin....think at home TT can win and cover...if UT loses they go 0-13 on the rd...Brodz can play Allen even...Fisher,Robinson etc could be to much for Longhorns to contain..this will be a 3 point game with 4 minutes and like every Texas game they don't score again and lose the game..

Marquette -2.5 over XU **
Both teams are on the bubble...Blue is back for XU but Sumner is still gone.. XU is 0-5 in last games...Marq who is looking good runs into Prov the other nite..a bubble burst..but there aren't to many bubbles left for these guys..Marq won the 1st time 83-61..think they have the offense to out score XU in a close game...Marq is only 3-6 on the rd but their backs are to the NIT's...

Off the beaten path tournaments

LIU -4 over R. Morris **
Blackbirds play uptempo.Fink is the stud....

Albany -16 over Hartford ****
Albany is tough..one of the top teams in almost every stat...Scoring,rebounding,turnover ratio,FT%,etc etc...Hartford is in last place in almost every category..Albany plays tough defense and Hart can't defend...Albany is 10-4 at home where Hart is 3-14 on the rd..Hart lost 22 games...they are playing in Albany....this is the real season for them...win by 20...

Wagner -4.5 over FDU ***
Wagner has won 7 of last 10...lost to LIU in OT....11-7 in conf...FDU has lost 5 in a row..think they have a tough time on the rd...Wagner plays tough defense ...

back later gotta do some errands....

UMBC +4 over New Hamp **
UM's nick name is....the Retrievers...hate to see how the cheerleaders use that name in a cheer...but they played NH in 2 over tome games and split..94-90 and a close defensive game 105-103...maybe the over is the play..in the 94-90 loss UM shot 6 for 30 from the 3...c'mon only North Texas is allowed to shoot like that.. at what point as a coach do you say our"shot isn't going in tonite, lets work the ball inside..but wait UM is 16th in the country shooting 3's at 40%..it was an off nite and teams that shoot 40% have the right to continue to shoot...so don't think the Retrievers miss that many tonite and keep this close like the other two reg seasons games...

Vermont -23.5 over Maine **
Cats beat Maine 74-53 and 90-77 already...but not by the line..Maine has lost to fellow teams good teams Albany and Stoney Brook by 18 and 20....and worst loss was to Ver by 21....still not more then 23...now 2 yrs ago Vermont beat Maine 93-65 and 83-46..that sounds more like it but that was ages ago...Ver is 26-5,13-1 at home, shoots almost 50% FG,and defense ranks 19th in the country...they are only one of the few teams that I have capped where their 2 fds are the leading scorers....whats amazes about Vermont is the amount of assists the players have...19,30,121,61,39,41 and and 53....they have a kid off the bench who plays 14 minutes a game and has 53 assists...Maine is terrible..one of the worst stat teams in the country..they rank in the 300's in scoring and any other category....this could be a strong play but Vermont subs so many players....the 2 games they beat Maine almost 9 players played more then 14 minutes...thats no good....I need SMU who never subs....but the deciding factor in me giving away this many points is that Maine's top scorer Meyers won't be playing tonite...he had a locker room fight and broke his jaw...could be wrong about the fight but he has a broken jaw...Vermont was upset last yr in the tourney, think Albany...so think they won't take any chances....small play and pray no back door comes into play....
Its fun doing the Northeast Conf and American East..all year there are never any lines..last yr did very well capping these conferences...but every year is totally different...good luck today

yest had no strong plays
went 1-1-2 -3*'s
thanks Linebacker...

strong plays G Wash,Albany and UConn if Adams plays...

UConn guard Jalen Adams? playing status is still in doubt after the sophomore sprained his ankle in Saturday?s loss to SMU.

According to UConn spokesman Phil Chardis, Adams suffered a left inversion ankle sprain late in the first half of the game against the Mustangs. He missed the entire second half in UConn?s 69-61 defeat.

Adams? playing status will be determined by how well the ankle responds to treatment.

The team had Sunday off, and Adams will not practice on Monday. Chardis said in an email that it will probably be a game-time decision on whether or not he can play on Wednesday at East Carolina.

UConn plays at ECU on Wednesday and then finishes the regular season at home against No. 18 Cincinnati on March 5.

The American Athletic Conference Tournament in Hartford begins on Thursday, March 9.

Adams leads the Huskies in both scoring (14.6 ppg) and assists (6.4 apg).

will downsize Uconn play to ** instead of ****
Vital is also out with a head concussion for Huskies...but Adams is their leading scorer..still think they can beat ECU but when top scorer is out don't know them well enough...only 2nd time I capped UConn...small play now
