Good Evening Everyone!!!

Who needs those stinkin' pennant races when there's college football going on tonight.

YTD: 13-9-2.

Week 3 was a losing week....lets get back on track tonight.

Louisville +5.5 over Kansas St.

Two teams, both coming off disappointing seasons without a bowl game. Frankly, both these clubs are works in progress, but I am a little suspicious seeing KSU as a favorite. They're just 24-26 SU in their last 50 games, so how they can they be expected to win a game SU on the road, let alone cover as a favorite? They are just 4-15 SU on the road during that stretch that goes back to the start of the 2004 season.

What about against the spread? The Wildcats are 0-7 ATS in their last seven chances as road chalk with six outright losses.

Louisville stunk on offense in their opener against UK. But, they are replacing a lot of veterans and they'll find moving down the field a bit easier against the KSU D as opposed to the SEC D they saw with UK. KSU has an undersized defense, allowed over 30 ppg last year. With just five returning starters, you wonder how they will hold up against a BCS Conference opponent. Cantwell will play better and even play Freeman to a draw. Now, Lousiville did get blown out by UK, 27-2, but they were in that game into the final quarter before the offense imploded. Dont forget about their defensive effort that day. I really like the changes DC Ron English brought and in two games his D is allowing just 6 out of 30 third down conversions. I like those numbers going against a KSU team thats playing its first real game of the season and has such a poor overall history on the road. I'll take the 5.5 points.

Good Luck!:weed:
