• MIL is 5-6 when playing on Wednesday, 12-6 overall in game 3
• HP UMP is 5-10 OV/UN, 7-8 HT

• KC is 12-22 on the road, 3-6 after a loss in game three, 9-12 overall in game 3, 7-10 in June, 10-16 in day games, and 5-6 on WED
• CWS are 4-1 in the last five meetings this season, 6-2 after a win in game three, 12-5 in June, 23-13 when playing against a team with a losing record, 9-1 in last 10 at home, 21-14 in home games, 10-13 in day games, and 6-5 on WED.
• CWS are 3-8 in Biddle's starts, BUT 2-1 in his last three where he has a 2.20 ERA
• Wilson is 1-0 with 3.77 ERA
• HP UMP Barrett is 5-9 HT, and 5-8 OV/UN with RPG ave of 9.86
• UNDER is 22-11 when KC is on the road, including 7-3 in last ten, UNDER is 20-15 for CWS at home, 5-2 in CWS last seven at home.
• Wilson making first road start, BIDDLE's home starts are 4-2 favoring the OVER.

Florida at ATLANTA

• FLA is 9-3 in their last 12 overall, have won 5 straight, 8-4 in game three of a series after a win, 12-7 overall in game 3, 11-6 in June, and 4-5 on WED.
• ATL is 1-5 in last 6 at home, 22-11 after a loss, and 8-2 on WED
• Burnett is 3-2 on the road with an ERA of 2.00,
  
  2-0 with 1.40 ERA in last 3, all won by FLA.
• Maddux is 2-1 with 1.69 ERA at home in six starts, in his last 3, he's 2-0 with ERA of 2.21, and ATL is 2-1 in those. He gave up 3 first inning runs in last start before settling down and going seven.
• OVER is 12-4-3 in the Braves last 19 home games
• HP UMP Drake is 8-1 HT

• BURNETT's starts are 2-6 OV/UN overall and 1-4 O/U on the road. Has only given up over 3 runs ONCE in last five starts. BURNETT is 1-1 against ATLANTA with an ERA of 5.73 and a WHIP of 1.545 since '96.
• Maddux has given up 3,1,1,2,0 in last five. He is 5-5 against FLORIDA with an ERA of 1.35 and a WHIP of 0.882 since '96.

Not sure IF I'm going to play this game or not, but I see some basis for taking MARLINS. I think you either go ATL and UNDER, or FLA and OVER. If Maddux throws a great game, and leaves the PEN out of it, then ATL may win a low scoring one. IF FLA gets MADDUX out early, well, then it could be WHO LET THE FISH OUT!!! gulp,gulp,gulp.

I don't think FLA has ever swept ATL at ATL, but they have won 3 straight, in JULY '98. FLA is on a roll, ATL is not. ATL BP is in bad shape... the available arms have given up 20 runs (15 ER) in last 13.1 innings!!

IF Burnett is on, and FLA gets to MADDUX, could be a long nite for BRAVE fans. May just watch this one... should be a good one.

Philadelphia at PITTSBURGH

Not going to do much here as stats are hard to find since the pitching change. DAAL is going for PHIL and OVER is 8-3 in his starts, and 3-1 in last five. His road starts have gone 4-2 O/U. 4 of last five of Arroyo's starts have gone OVER, and the HP UMP is 4-11 HT and 10-5 O/U. Tempted to take PHILLY, but with a JUNE record of 5-11, and PITT having won 4 straight and 6 of 8 overall, I'm siding with the TOTAL.

Montreal at NY METS

Again, not a lot of work to be done here. Other games to look at. Gonna pass here, as VAZQUEZ has done very well against METS in 8 starts, with MON going 6-2 and his ERA at 3.09. LIETER is 1-3 at home with 2.77 ERA. UNDER is 8-0-1 in last nine meetings, but METS are 5-2 OVER in Lieter's last seven starts. HP UMP GORMAN is 10-5 HT, 5-8 O/U.

• Last four meetings have played UNDER.
  UNDER is 5-1 in TAVAREZ's last six starts, Matthews' last four starts have played UNDER
• HP UMP Fitcher is 2-6 HT, and 5-2 O/U

I was leaning to UNDER but with SOSA and McGUIRE heating up, I'll PASS. Mattew's hasn't pitched well at home, but can't go with CUBBIES on the road against great HOME TEAM TREND, 8-0 this season!!

Can't back a FIRST TIMER, and certainly can't see playing DET with HOLT (1-5 with 6.80 ERA at home). The OVER is 5-2 in Holt's last seven starts this season, OVER is 7-1-1 in the last nine in Detroit, OVER is 10-4 with wind blowing 0-10, and NYY and DET have both gone OVER 6 of their last 10.

I was going to post this as a play, but am now going with a DOUBLE ON TORONTO and a play on UNDER. Carpenter is 6-0 on the road, BAL is 1-7 in Roberts' last eight starts, BAL is 1-9 after a win in game two of a series, UNDER is 4-1 in Carpenter's last five starts, UNDER is 6-1 in the last seven meetings, and 8-2 in last ten at CAMDEN.

Minnesota at CLEVELAND

FINLEY totally different pitcher at home, going 2-0, team going 5-0

with his ERA a respectable 3.82. MAYS is this years RADKE in MINNY (UNDER ANYTHING STARTER!)4-10 O/U and 1-4 O/U on the road with 3-1 mark and 2.41 ERA.

San Fran at SAN DIEGO

• SF is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings this season, 6-1 in their last seven games overall, 11-6 in June, 7-4 when playing on Wed, 7-3 overall in last ten, BUT, only 3-7 in last 10 on the road.
• SD is 14-22 at home, 5-12 in JUNE, 10-20 withing the division, 16-29 at night, and 2-9 on WED.
• UNDER is 7-3 in Gardner's last 10 starts, 4-1 in last five, 4-2 on the road, and 7-4 ovrall.
• HP UMP Rapuano is 7-8 HT, 8-7 O/U
• OVER is 3-1 in the last four meetings, 6-3-1 in Jarvis' last 10 starts, 6-0
  
  at home, and 9-4 overall.
• GARDNER is 1-3 in six starts with 6.97 ERA on the road, JARVIS is 3-1 with 3.89 ERA in 7 starts.

SAN FRAN OVER 9 -120 ** DOUBLE PLAY
** can't go with either side, although a case could be made for both. BUT with both BP's used up after 15 inning affair last nite, and neither of these starters used to going more than six, I see lots of runs being scored, and the total to be over by the time they both leave!!

Arizona at LOS ANGELES

• ARI is 9-1 in the last 10 road games, have won the last three meetings between these two, and 14-6 in last 20 on the road.
• LA is 5-5 in last 10 at home after great start, 4-6 overall in their last 10, and only 7-10 in JUNE. LA is 8-3 on WED, but ARI is 7-4.
• PARK is 6-1 with 1.80 ERA at home, and BP is doing a great job there, with 2.91 ERA and saving 82.1% of games.
• Batista is 0-1 in two road starts with 4.00 ERA, but ARI is better on the road.

There are other angles, stats, etc. to look at, but basically you have a HOT TEAM on the road, vs a slumping home team. UNLESS, PARK shuts them out, I like ARIZONA here with the nice price.

Seattle at OAKLAND

No time for stats, but just this. MULDER is much better home pitcher than on the road. This game means MUCH MUCH more to OAKLAND at this point in season, and I look for a huge effort out of them. Finally got the bats going last nite, although they lost, but I look for them to rebound tonite. Also gonna ride that UNDER TRAIN AGAIN...

Almost didn't play late games after going 3-1 early, but hey, a play is a play is a play whether it's today, or tomorrow. JUST wanted a POSITIVE one, but stuck it out. Came close to a HUGE HUGE nite, as BP's broke down in TOR/BALT after rain delay and cost me the UNDER, and ARIZ choked with bases loaded or I go 9-2!

Either way, just glad to be a contributor... hope some of you got on these, or used the info to profit.
