Not 100% sure of the underlying reason, but it seems that an OT game that wasn't 'supposed' to be close, has an adverse effect on both teams the next day...esp. as big dogs.
Does the team who got the win (Milwaukee in this case) get a bit happy with themselves and so not care too much tomorrow?
Is [Philli] not as good as we (the books) might think?
Either way, NJ are a team with high expectations for this year, so I'm sure they'll be keen to start the year off with a big win.
Same with Detroit obviously....plus the last 3 meetings @ home, Det have beaten Philli by 21, 15 & 10 points.
