tuesday recap:
lose florida (-1.0)
lose cincinnati (-1.0)
win seattle (+1.01)
win baltimore (+124)
talk about grinding out a profit. thats textbook grinding right there boys, lol. really pissed about that florida game. beckett was lights out and the florida offense cant help him out. on to wednesday.
cincinnati (+117) over los angeles
tampa bay/boston under 9.5 (-105)
seattle (+116) over minnesota
cincinnati....maybe being a little stubborn... but finley and green are pathetic against left handed pitching, which takes almost all the power out of the dodgers lineup... claussen also is much better at great american (4 career starts.... two away starts = 11 runs in 9 and 1/3 innings... two home starts = 4 runs in 12 and 1/3 innings).... and part of me is taking the "no way lima and weaver (two pitchers capable of giving up the home run) can win back to back starts in this homer friendly park"
tampa and boston under.... lowe has been (at the very worst) consistent over the last month or so... he's given up exactly 4 runs in each of his last 5 starts, going an average of 6+ innings... not stellar but at least consistent... his career numbers against tampa are awesome... 2.77 ERA in 104 innings... brazelton has definitely been better at tropicana, but hes only let up 5 runs in his last 26 and 1/3 innings... it looks like he is starting to be everything tampa hoped for when they picked him high in the 2001 draft.... first two games of this series were high scoring... this one is gonna be an under in my opinion... two pitchers with numbers that project to a pitchers duel
seattle.....this madritch kid could be a hidden gem for the mariners... not sure if they have any expectations or future plans for him, but ive seen him pitch twice (once in relief and then his lone start last week) and this kid just has great mound presence... he goes right after hitters and is really aggressive... he looked great in long relieft against anaheim and then allowed one run in eight innings against tampa.... twins have their hands full in this series... meche gave the bullpen the night off on tuesday and seattle has a bit of a spark with the whole edgar thing for right now.
i should probably play baltimore because theyre absolutely scorching the last week or so. but not a big fan of bedard. but theyre pounding the ball enough to make up for it
