Another winning night on Tuesday. 5-2 on sides (and 0-1) on halftime play. Good thing Minnesota showed up to play in the second half or I could have really looked like a fool :142smilie
Record @ MJ's 92-56-2 (sides) 62.2%
Totals 2-2 // Halves 4-6
One of the stats that I look at more than almost all the rest is strength in rebounding. If you control the glass you always get those second chance opportunities and of course on the defensive end you prevent the other team from their chance of ruining your spread. To me nothing is more frustrating than your team playing tenacious "D" for 30+ seconds and then letting them get the rebound and start all over again :mj16: I was pulling my own hair out a while back in the Louisville/Syracuse game when it seemed the Orange did not get one board :moon:
I have two games on my card tonight where my pick has a decisive edge on the glass.
Charlotte +9
This line keeps going up in my favor and probably for good reason. Rhode Island is the better team and we all know how much the public loves their favs. The Rams hold the edge in scoring but when you factor in the the 49ers better defense coupled with their doinance on the boards I see a much closer contest. I'll take the abunance of points in this one and hope the erasers are in the right hands tonight to clean up the boards.
Duquesne +1
The Little Dukes (according to my stats) have a big edge on the boards (especially the defensive end) over the Bonnies. If they can prevent those easy put backs by the home team they should stop them from avenging their earlier one point loss to them on the Dukes home court.
South Carolina -3
We've all heard or read about Alabamas lineup tonight but the big question is if the Cocks are willing to put forth an effort for the fans :mj07: Have they given up completely, or just enough to be laying like a snake in the grass :SIB Carolina also holds an edge on the boards. Will the team that plays terrible on the road steal one from the team that has no incentive left this season. SC is a very respectful 11-4 at home.
Wake Forest +7.5
This is a joke, right? Something smell fishier than the seaport fish market in Bangkok  Check mark again for the Deacons edge on the glass.
UConn +2
Seems like everyone is having a love affair with the Irish and blowing the Huskies off  Sure the Domers just beat the Hoyas and Pittsburgh, but prior to that they were beaten by St Johns, Seton Hall, and Rutgers (not the cream of the crop.
I expect the Huskies to shake off their loss to Louisville and come out with a vengence. It's definitely not the UConn of old but I'll still back this Huskie squad :toast:
UAB -3
Temple -2.5 Love pouring in on the Billikens
Duke -1
Mississippi State -2
Have a good one gentlemen :toast:
