i shall preface my following statements with this disclaimer... i have just finished a rather large martini and am less than sober.
if i was smart (and sober), i'd only play one game tonight. my big 12 GOF (game of forever). :scared love this play. not quite as much as the first matchup between these teams though, so i guess it's not really a GOF. anyways... due to recent struggles, all plays are for one unit. you'll have to guess which one i really, really love.
villanova (-1) taking into consideration the great talent that is assembled there, uconn is terrible this year. absolutely terrible. no heart whatsoever. scottie reynolds has been inconsistent lately (what???? oh, he's a freshman), but they've gotten some rest lately (this is only their second game in 9 days), so hopefully he'll be on tonight. 'nova will play hard, and that should be enough to get a win tonight.
south carolina (-1) more an anti-vandy play than anything else. what, one big win, and you're in the top 25? as bad as south carolina is, they'll get the w tonight.
mississippi st (+4) bulldogs had covered roughly 40 straight games before the meltdown at georgia. i think they get back on track tonight.
texas a&m (+1.5) LOVE the aggies here. almost as much as i loved them in the first matchup between these two teams. only fear (as always) is a let-up, but i can't believe the aggies would ever let-up in a game against the longhorns. i have a ton of reasons why i love the aggies here, but it pretty much comes down to the same reasons i loved them the first matchup... the aggies are a team. the longhorns are a couple of great basketball players. i'll take the team every time.
denver (+12.5) wouldn't have touched this game in a million years, but i see 99% on ul monroe. ul monroe? really? can anybody name a single player on that team without looking it up? sure, they could get blown out by 36 again, but i'll take the pioneers. one of their only 3 conference wins was against the warhawks back in january.
