Wednesday, May 8th - St. Louis Cards (Matt Morris) vs Chicago Cubs (Juan Cruz)
The Cubbies have downed the Cards in the past two days out scoring them 14-5. The Cards send Matt Morris to the mound with a 4-2 record and a solid 3.06 ERA. The Cubbies will be sending Juan Cruz to the hill, who has simply had horrible luck when taking the hill getting no run support what so ever! Over the past 27 innings pitched by Cruz, his teammates have scored just three runs, leading to his 0-5 record but owns a sharp ERA of 2.81. But with the Cubbies bats coming to life, expect Cruz to get his first W today.
