slutgers (+7)
slutgers moneyline (+260)

as i pass the time until the mac tourney starts, ill give former mac coach waters a shot in the big east opening round. both teams shoot way too many 3s but ive always felt that under brey, notre dame has been a great dog but a garbage chalk. you can normally count on a pretty good effort out of rutgers in the big east tourney. knights have been solid from the line in big east play and match up well with notre dame (since neither team rebounds the ball well). theyre certainly not goin anywhere, but unlike some teams (see: providence) they dont mail the season in. if they get hot from 3pt range, rutgers advancing to the 2nd round wouldnt be a huge surprise to me. really feel like after the top 5 in the big east, you can put the other 7 teams in a hat and the games become a toss-up on a neutral court.

devil:

we all have different capping styles. that kind of stuff (road ATS) doesnt factor in a whole lot when i look at a game, especially this time of year, where the neutral site almost devalues any positive or negative stat.

gman,

any thoughts on the total, now at 133.5 at my book? I see that Roger is on the under and he is usually nails on those totals. Just curious

under would certainly be my lean but both teams are capable of getting hot from 3pt range and the total is just a little too low for my liking. think it is indeed under or nothin though.

Neither team has played any type of conference tourney, 1st round tourney, or neutral court games so far this year. Rutgers an extremely young team may be slightly shaken at 1st and ND looking for one of their own to break some kind of scoring record. Both teams got shelled defensively in their last game. Think the time off may have been spent shoring up the D's on each side. They do know each other a bit having just played recently. Hope those three's clang clang clang off tonight.
