ecu -3-: think we're getting a bit of a bargain here after pirates laid an egg at gardner-webb, where ecu played a sloppy game plagued by turnovers and bad shooting. don't expect that to be duplicated at minges coliseum as pirates enjoy a significant home court edge and always play much better there as opposed to the road. while toledo a pre-season mac favorite, they're off to a slow start due to poor guard play, and greenville not the ideal place to straighten out the problem. pirate coach bill herrion is quietly improving the program at ecu. i look for ecu to deliver a focused, workmanlike win tonight.

some others:

wichita st -11-: i've learned to give ear to goldcupsports when he opines on the shockers.

n iowa -2: everyone is probably aware of the rivalry, but the home court edge in dekalb center large. visiting shooters almost always have trouble there because of the lack of backround behind the rims.

ark st -6-: think conference bias has skewed the line a bit in the one. indians easily the better team.

jax st +9: just a hunch but feel jax st much improved over years past. terriers not likely to effect a rout.
