trying to keep the routine - this is kinda fun when things are going well. see a nice one to start off the humpday slate (btw, all these lines i post are from pinnacle unless otherwise stated).:

davidson +4 +100: here's a news flash in case you missed it - davidson is better than charlotte this year. i think they know it, and will be up to claim this year's hornet's nest trophy for the first time out of halton arena. like most big brother/little brother rivalries, the wildcats are used to trying to climb uphill in this annual queen city matchup. this year, they're picked to win the southern conference and actually have the manpower to match up with the 49ers. charlotte is a poor shooting team playing their fourth game in a week and has yet to play a complete game this year. davidson is a senior-laden team coming off a nice win over a talented st joes team, and should be ready for their cross-town rival tonight.

thanks mcity.

one more for now:

wofford -6: these teams just played satuday in greenville, and the pirates pulled the game out in ot. three obsevations concerning tonight's rematch in spartenburg ---a) pirates will not shoot 50% from the floor tonight; b) terriers will shoot a lot better that 38% tonight; and c) pirates will suck on the road again this year. terriers' shane nichols was two for eight from the floor in greenville; look for him to put up about 20 tonight. this is not really an up year for wofford, but i have no confidence in ecu outside of minges.

At first glance Davidson really stood out, I'll definitely be with you on this one. Just wish I'd had as much success as you this early in the season!! Keep up the good work and continued success ..Cabo...

Nice work yesterday loophole, and no one who has been around this forum for a few years would be surprised.

I'm hoping you and redsfann might have some thoughts on the Wolfpack/Hawkeye matchup tonight.

I was gonna ask Loop if he had any thoughts on tonight's matchup, KcWolf....:mj07:

Only two games of the Hawks that I've seen were the two against Ky and Tx. Horner and Haluska look like crap so far--Horner is fighting a thigh bruise-- but Henderson and Thomas have been pleasant suprises--at least to me anyway...

Leaning towards a play on the under as both teams have played well defensively so far this season and might be a bit tight in the first half of this one.

Any thoughts Loop or KC?

hey kc

'bout time you turned up redsfann

with me, jury's still out on whether the wolfpack vcan be consistent on the road against quality teams, a trait they need to develop if they are to move on to the next level. they have a nice complement of players, and the road win vs the irish in indianapolis was encouraging, but then i haven't seen notre dame on anyone's preseason sweet sixteen list. i'll be watching tonight with interest piqued.

here's a good article on where the team stands at this point -

after considerable reflection, i played nc state +2- for the first half. in recent years, most of their road problems have come in the second half. i consider this year's team to be improved, even with the loss of hodge. at the least, i expect to see a focused effort from the wolfpack out of the gate, then i'll hold onto my cohones after halftime.

g/l folks.

the davidson line move seems a little odd, there doesn't seem to be enough money going on charlotte to move the number two points, but what the heck:

davidson ml +222

davidson +3 1st half

half unit each.

one more play just on a hunch:

cal fullerton/kansas st under 136: this total opened @ 123 last night and has been bet steadily up since then. only significant news out there is a pretty tough three days of travel for fullerton. of course travel to brookings, s.d. is no bargain (and of course it's colder than a welldigger's ass up there right now) but things got worse for fullerton when their flight out was cancelled yesterday. that resulted in nine hour bus ride through midamerica, delivering the team to manhattan, kansa about 6 last night. these are two good defensive teams, and i'm taking a stab that tonight's game is played at a slower pace, with points at a premium. would also play k st but 9 seems like a lot in that type of game.
