NHL Season: 27-40 (-9.75 units)

For tonight:

1) Detroit -0.5 (-165)

Really love the fact that Nolan is out tonight for SJ. I think this puts them in a real bind and you won't see Detroit at this low of a price most of the time against healthy teams.

2) Vancouver/Dallas over 5.5 (-110) *2 units

Vancouver games have been absolutely wide open lately. Throw in a virgin goaltender (Auld) to the mix, and this over is very appealing.

GL all! Input always appreciated.

Thanks wigs.

Adding:

3) Montreal +0.5 (+110)

Theodore has been great for Montreal this season. Since Hackett played in two of their last three games, we almost certainly will see Theodore tonight. Montreal has been shooting the puck well (nearly 12% in their last 5 games). Their power play has been producing goals lately, converting 10 of their last 45 chances for over 22%. Their penalty kill has been hot as well, not surrendering any PP goals in their last 7 games until the two they allowed to Florida in the 7-5 fiasco. Washington's PP percentage is down, as is their shooting percentage. They are shooting a paltry 5% over their last 5 games. With Washington playing more defensive minded hockey, I think the chance of a tie is good enough to warrant taking the half puck in this one versus the money line. Either way, I think Montreal is the play.

GL all!
